This interview was made since Puerto Rico, after its first game in Puerto Rico League. This game was your first game after its recover injury.
By: Tony Irrizari (www.zonazaguera.com) _____________________________________________
TONY: This is your first game after your injury. How your felt?
KIM: I am feel very good. I am moving much in the court. I jump very good, but the "swing" of my arm this bad, but in the practice with the team , I know that the arm is going to fall in its site.
TONY: The next year, Which are your plans?
KIM: The next year, I think to play here, right now those are my plans. Although who knows that she happens in the season but I think that I am not going to play for any site. Honestly if nongame with this team (Criollas Caguas), I do not think to return to play volleyball in PR. I have seen other teams and for my it is not just like Caguas. We have 4 players of national team and one setter(Xiomara) that for my is the best one of all PR. I do not believe that it would play with another team.
TONY: You think convert in native? (In being elegible to play with the national team of Puerto Rico).
KIM: I am treating more than nothing at this moment. For that reason she is that I am wanted to be here and if the United States gives me "release", I convert in native with much pleasure. It would enchant to me to make the national team of here but everything depends on them (the United States)
*** Sorry for the translation*** _____________________________________________ :THE INTERVIEW IN SPANISH:

Thought I would make a stab at the translation....
What Kim Willoughby had to say on her return....
This is your first match for 2006. How do you feel?
I feel great, I am moving well on the court, jumping fine, but my armswing was bad, it was the worst.....I am improving in practice, and with reps.... it will all fall into place.
Our team looked great today, we played more together, with lotsa energy and so we had a good match.
Next year, what are your plans? Will you play here or in another league?
Next year I plan to play here, at least those are my plans for now. Altho who knows what happens during summer, but I don't think I am going anywhere else to play. Honestly if I don't play with this team, I won't be playing vb in Puerto Rico. I have taken a look at other teams, and for me...they're just not the same as Caguas.
We have 4 players of NT caliber and a setter, Xiomara, who in my opinion is the best in Puerto Rico. I don't want to play for any other team.
Do you plan to become a PR citizen? I am trying more than ever at the moment to do so. I want to stay here. If the US NT program will release me, I will gladly become a PR citizen. I would love be on the Puerto Rican NT, but it all depends on Colo Springs/the US.
What was your impression of the recent matches that you did not play in?
Well, with the Juncos match right after the first game we were all "down" with no energy, players weren't even talking to each other. Everyone was blaming themselves, but it really was the whole team who weren't performing, not just a single person.
What we needed was for all us to play more united, get back to executing the basics. I think that is going to be the key to winning in 2006. We might not have a single player scoring 40 points, but we all need to support each other, it is so important. Today several players scored in the double digits. This can be so positive for our team that we encourage each other because there isn't just one player out there, but 5 others beyond ourselves to support and encourage, imo.

What the heck did USAV do to Kim? Remove her spleen?
It all seems a little...how shall I put it? Excessive?

Yeah, it makes me wonder, too, why Kim Willoughby isn't training with USA Volleyball. This is what I believe and it's totally unfounded but whenever I think about Kim W. and USA Volleyball circa early 2004 before the Athens Olympics, I think the following:
Kim wanted to play for Team USA. USA Volleyball said, "Sure, Kim, come on up to Colorado Springs."
"I have some minor injuries here and there," she said. "Is it okay if I nurse them and then, when I'm healed, fly to Colorado Springs to train?"
"Well, that would be unfair to all those other players who've been here all this time," said USA Volleyball.
"Well, if I show up, will you guarantee me a spot on the Olympic Team?" Kim asked.
"No."
"Then, I guess it ain't worth it to fly up."
"That's your call," said USA Volleyball. "But we'd love to have you."
"But not enough to guarantee me a spot on your team?"
"That's not how we run our team," said USA Volleyball.
-------
Anyway, as I said, totally unfounded but this runs through my head every time I think about why Kim Willoughby and USA Volleyball.

She is also married to a Puerto Rican. Sometimes, when people grow up and mature, priorities change.

She wasn't married when she had the falling out with USAV.
I want to know all the secrets!
Why'd Shaw resign as WVB coach at Stanford? Why'd Lily take a year off? Is there really a Julie? What happened to Amelia Earhart?
I'm waiting.

I know the answers to 3 of the 4 questions. However, I've been sworn to secrecy by other parties. Just like I've been sworn to secrecy about the Florian thing.
