Tomislav, you're back! I was trying to get a hold of you a while ago. You seemed to completely disappear. Now if I could just remember what I wanted... (scratching head)

By the way, I have a first edition (english) version of the book he is advertising here. It is a very interesting read. If all you know of Karpol is his screaming on the sidelines, it shows a very different side of him.

It is a very interesting book. It pretty much chronicles the development of Russian volleyball during the Karpol years in addition to giving us a lot of background to the man and his philosophy. There is a method to his madness and believe it or not, his caring nature.

Hey did Jeri Estes contribute a chapter about how to get caught picking your nose on the bench while sitting behind Karpol during the Olympic Gold Medal Match? ;D

Just got the book, and haven't had time to start it yet.
I love the first quote on the back of the book: "I enjoyed the book." What a rousing sentiment of support.
And the third quote "Book you never read before." I'm hoping something was lost in translation on that one.
BTW, when did Russ Rose coach the US men's team?
