Hey guys, This is Matt Proper.. I played volleyball at Penn State from 2002-2006, with the National Team for a little while, and professionally in Europe for the past few years. I married Morgan Beck, Cal star and National Team player, now in Russia. I just released something that I've been working on for the past year. It's called Skyball, and it's my effort to make the sports world better, starting with volleyball. ___________________________________________ You can check it out here: www.skyball.com___________________________________________ The concept is simple- Club and high school teams need to promote your events & players. Players have the challenge of getting exposure. Coaches need a quick way of finding targeted talent. Skyball lets you do all of this FREE. Skyball spans from the junior level all the way up to pros, so you can follow your favorite profiles and know when their next event is coming up. ___________________________________________ Set up your own sports profile in seconds: www.skyball.comPlayers, Coaches, Teams ___________________________________________ I'd love to get some feedback on this. I'm trying to make it as valuable as possible for everyone and provide more opportunities for you to get the most out of your sport. Thanks! -Matt Oh, and if you upgrade to Premium (Promoted listing, premium filters, etc) this month use coupon code VolleytalkFEB11 and save $5.00 off the first month! matt@skyball.com facebook.com/skyballtwitter.com/skyball

You should get Geeter to schedule you as a call-in guest on TheNetIsThisMicOnAmILive.
You could go right after that interview with Rollo Vincent.

Rollo Vincent is Randy Stoklos' terrible character from the movie "Sideout."

P.S. I was serious about getting on TheNetLive. It's always good to get real guest doing real stuff in the volleyball world. Usually it's just their manbros calling in their verbal tweet of the week.

If coaches pay any sort of fee to access athlete profiles, it's illegal. Don't ask me how I know this.

If coaches pay any sort of fee to access athlete profiles, it's illegal. Don't ask me how I know this. Here is the regulation I'm referring to: 13.14.3 Recruiting or Scouting Services. An institution may subscribe to a recruiting or scouting service involving prospective student-athletes, provided the institution does not purchase more than one annual subscription to a particular service and the service: (Adopted: 1/1/02, Revised: 1/16/10) (a) Is made available to all institutions desiring to subscribe and at the same fee rate for all subscribers; (b) Publicly identifies all applicable rates; (c) Disseminates information (e.g., reports, profiles) about prospective student-athletes at least four times per calendar year; (d) Publicly identifies the geographical scope of the service (e.g., local, regional, national) and reflects broad-based coverage of the geographical area in the information it disseminates; (e) Provides individual analysis beyond demographic information or rankings for each prospective student-athlete in the information it disseminates; (Revised: 4/13/10) (f) Provides access to samples or previews of the information it disseminates before purchase of a subscription; and (g) Provides video that is restricted to regularly scheduled (regular-season) high school, preparatory school or two-year college contests and for which the institution made no prior arrangements for recording. (Note: This provision is applicable only if the subscription includes video services.)

According to IMDB, in Iceland this movie was known as Strandlíf og stuð, which Google translates to "Coastal Life And Fun."

This is why we need to educate people on the history of volleyball. Rollo Vincent is Randy Stoklos' terrible character from the movie "Sideout." According to IMDB, in Iceland this movie was known as Strandlíf og stuð, which Google translates to "Coastal Life And Fun." Never saw it. I think I barely even heard of it. The trailer looks like they took the volleyball scene from Top Gun and extended it into half of a feature film. I was going to say something about Morgan (nothing negative about her or Matt), but I probably better stay away from it.
