That was pretty good. I'll never forget... Hanson did a foot save in '06 I believe, at the scorer's table, back over his head, perfectly setting the left side OH who slammed it down for a kill against UCLA, at Stanford.

Mac, the foot save by Hansen was awesome, but your description is false. It was not a perfect set for a kill.

That was a pretty sick play. Glad we were able to get that online. It would be awesome if we could get more extraordinary plays like that online, create our own version of SportsCenter's "Top Ten Plays."

sick!!! - that's as good as grbic from yugo vaulting over the side banner to save a shanked pass & then hustling back on court to roof yakolev in the 2000 olympic men's gold-medal match

I was fortunate to see the play in person and the initial pancake save combined with Shoiji's incredible athleticism left UCSD totally on their heels. Went on the Hawaii website to see whether Eric played soccer in high school and it says he was an all-state doubles tennis player. Wow! Quite a night in San Diego for all the Rainbow bashers. Four starters from the island for Stanford, and 5' 11" Will Erman of UCSD celebrated his 21st birthday with 19 kills.

Opps, I went on the Stanford website. Hawaii fans wish he was on their site.

I don't know, if you've seen one amazing reach your foot out from the ground and make a near perfect set to your OH, then you've seen them all.

Nice play by Shoji Reminds me of a play by one of my favorite players, Egypt's Abdalla Abdel Salam in the 2005 World Grand Champions Cup. Clip doesn't show it but the great (former) Brazilian footballer Zico was in attendance during the match and had a smile on his face after Abdalla set that ball with his foot.

Haha! This play was just on ESPN Top 10! Number 2! Volleyball getting some air! The broadcasters even knew what a 'pancake' was...
