UC IRVINE MEN’S VOLLEYBALL SIGNS FIVE Irvine, Calif. – UC Irvine head men’s volleyball coach John Speraw announced the signing of five student-athletes to national letters of intent.
Jordan Du Fault 6-4 Outside Hitter Lakewood, Calif./St. John Bosco HS Outside hitter from St. John Bosco High School…alternate on the 2005 Boys Youth National Team…named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2005 Junior Olympics playing for Highline…selected as one of the Top 25 Athletes to Watch by Volleyball Magazine.
Cole Reinholm 6-5 Outside Hitter Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks HS Second team All-CIF Southern Section honoree from Thousand Oaks High School…named first team all-league, all-county and all-area as a junior…tabbed as one of the Top 25 Athletes to Watch by Volleyball Magazine…named MVP of the USA High Performance Volleyball Camp in 2005…one of 24 athletes that trained with the boys Youth National Volleyball…three-time scholar-athlete.
Anthony Spittle 6-1 Setter Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union HS Two-time Bay League Most Outstanding Player from Redondo Union High School…Mizuno second team All-American as well as second-team All-CIF as a junior…selected first team by the Daily Breeze in 2005 and Daily Breeze Player of the Year in 2004…earned a Bronze Medal at the 2005 Boys Junior Olympics playing for the Southern California Volleyball Club...also named to the All-American Team…younger brother of current UCI volleyball players Paul and Nick.
Kenny Webster 6-1 Libero Huntington Beach, Calif./Edison HS Two-time defensive MVP at Edison High School…team was CIF Division I semifinalists…plays club volleyball for the Balboa Bay Volleyball Club…three-time Junior Olympic medalist with Balboa Bay…trained with the USA Youth National A2 camp this summer and was selected to play in the Global Challenge Tournament….scholar-athlete.
Cory Yoder 6-3 Outside Hitter San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente HS 2005 South Coast League MVP from San Clemente High School…second team All-CIF as a junior….named MVP of the 2005 San Diego Scripps Ranch Tournament…team was CIF finalists in 2003…member of the Balboa Bay Volleyball Club that finished in third place at the Junior Olympics in 2002 and 2004 and second place in 2005…named to the Junior Olympics All-Tournament team in 2005…played on the USA Boys Youth National Volleyball that competed at the Four-Nation Tournament in Brazil last summer.

This is a great class. UCI only needs a tall middle and they become a power.
