I'll believe it when I see it. If these charges are true then tell us who it is-if it really is "true," and don't create a new ID to start something like this. Promote the sport, don't tear it down. Let the NCAA do the announcing.
We don't even know if Lewis did anything until the NCAA makes it official. These kind of threads are troubling. There is so much good in the sport to talk about let's focus on that.

This is pretty nerve racking stuff. I have heard some things from some pretty reliable sources. I am so hoping it is just a bunch of rumors. But I will only believe it when I see it. Until then I would hope we can leave this a lone until the so called "news" comes out like Yukon said.

I definitely agree with Big Red....there is NO joke this time. This whole thread was started as a flame, nothing more. Once again I will say, if you have any verifiable proof against BYU, Lewis, or any other school, please give it to the administration at that school. As both Lewis and UH have demonstrated, the administrators take action and report themselves to the NCAA. The NCAA will take action as it deems fit. This may not be to our liking but it is the only recourse.
Any kind of postings on a website such as this IS NOT PROOF of any wrong doing. It is merely rumor and innuendo and is damaging to the sport. I also heard some things from what I considered a "reliable source" but when I questioned where that source got their information, they were unable to name credible names. (I suspect they got it off the internet).
If I may make a suggestion to the regular posters....don't respond to another thread like this. Let it die amongst the other hundreds of threads on this board. I will try not to respond again also.

Well Beachy thats kind of the problem. I don't know much about the UH situation, but in Lewis's case they were given information on Meyer that indicated there were problems (plural) with his eligibility. Only after they chose to disregard that information were they turned in. At that time I believe Lewis's Compliance director was a softball coach or something like that, and obviously they weren't taking things very seriously. There was and is an ongoing investigation by the NCAA when Lewis "turned themselves in". I'm not implying anything there, but you can read into that what you want.
From what I have seen and heard of late it appears that Lewis is starting to "get it", and that is a good thing for them and the sport. Mind you having the NCAA climb into your shorts and start rooting around has a way of grabbing your attention. <chuckle>
I would concur that this post was in poor taste, and that this is not the forum to air that type of information whether it is legitimate or not.

The taunting is in poor taste. Either post it or drop it. I guess what I find surprising is that BYU hasn't done anything yet about pulling players who are in question. They have got to know that there is questioning and inquiries going on, is he just hoping for the best? Well, good luck Lewis tomorrow night, you'll need it! )

Maybe he isn't pulling players because he knows these are rumors. I don't know.

Maybe this is a board, with no significance what so ever for the outside world! Only us posters care... Do you really think that somebody from the BYU admn. is actually reading this post?
Just because some crazy kid, behind a computer, posted some b.s. rumor, doesn't make a difference in their eyes... they probably don't even know its happening...
