Iowa wins Game 1 30-28. Purdue must be drunk, but hey, Go Hawks!

Was anyone there? Did Purdue look really bad? Or did Iowa just come to play or what? I have't looked at stats or anything yet.

I was there, and both teams look shaky in attacking, but pretty decent in digging. Just seemed that neither team had their setters connecting with middle well. In last game, BOTH teams hit over 0.400. Fresh OH Schipper for Iowa brought some good things to game, and was very nice to have Vitale back at RH for Hawks.

How many bleeping 5-game matches does Purdue plan on winning this year?

Fister was realllllly forcing the middles vs Northwestern... it was a little nuts. Glad that Smale finally had a good game. She's struggled. And Vitali back for the Hawks gives them someone other than Smale to go to. They've proven that they can be competitive this year, even if they don't win much.
