Are the uniforms one-size-fits-all? Cause Nickie is 6-3 and Makana is 5-9.

Is this a real name? C'mon......She Makana Recca the other team? One of the better sports names I've heard. If this has been discussed ad nauseum on other threads, then my apologies. If I'm not mistaken, Shantell is her first name. Makana is part of her middle name. Can't be sure, though.

I have some legitimate questions:
Makana Recca tried out for the team back in the summer, right? During the tryouts, she decided to quit because: (1) she realized she wasn't going to beat out the others, or (2) she received subtle hints from the coaching staff that she might not make it, or (3) she just got tired of it all, or (4) whatever.
Did she all of a sudden leap 2-3 points in the passing/digging dept and pass some of the existing members of the squad? How does that happen? You don't, all of a sudden, increase in passing/digging proficiency. It just doesn't happen. You could argue the current players aren't getting the job done and she's brought in as an emergency band-aid. But once again, if she wasn't good enough to last through the double days of summer, why would anyone think she's good enough now?

I think you're thinking of Spenser Rigg -- she's the one that quit, not Recca.
