I think I'll watch Penn State lose. How the hell can the Buckeyes beat Wisconsin who have taken 2 from PSU? I just don't get sports sometimes.

Well, that was decisive. Ohio State didn't even get to 20 in the last game. Admittedly, MN -- co-Big Ten leaders, incidentally, now -- was really heating up, but Ohio State just looked like they were done.

MN played a good match tonight. The only criticism I would have is that they missed far too many serves but I guess that's what happens when you serve aggressively. I mean they won a game earlier this year against NE missing 9 serves in the game....

I thought MN played very well tonight. Their serving kept OSU from passing well, keeping Main off the net. I was concerned about Main after last year's match when she had 12 kills. Hopefully, MN will keep on a roll for PSU tomorrow night.
Great night. MN sweeps and I got to talk to Stacey Gordon!
Stacey said she had to come out to the court by herself before the OSU pre-game warmup. She needed time to deal with the '04 regional final. Great person. She took time to talk to about a half dozen Gopher fans and was very accessible.

Roehrig had a great night tonight hitting .400, 13-3-25. She was swinging with authority, the way I was hoping she would. And another solid night by Cumpston as she hit .286, 16-6-35.
For OSU, Main had 20 swings but only 4 kills. A lot of attempts for a setter in a 5-1. I think MN was ready for her after last year.

Impressive win for the Gophers tonight. Tomorrow night should be a very interesting match. I wish those matches in 2004 would have been televised where I could have taped them. They must have been epic.

I mean they won a game earlier this year against NE missing 9 serves in the game.... 15 server errors vs. 8 aces and probably another 20 serves throughout the match that Ohio State passed very poorly and had Main running all over the court to set. I'll take that pretty much anytime. I thought the Gophers player pretty well over all, but game 2 was fairly sloppy for both teams with some nice defense and long rallies thrown in from time to time between the errors. Tomorrow night ought to be interesting for the Gophers against the Lions.

Best thing? It shuts ohiostatead the bleep up. You'd think so... but nope. And gloating usually comes back to bite people in their rumps. ;D

Gloating? How am I gloating?
I think it's a shame I care more about the way your program is treated than you do, that's all. I don't see where that's gloating -- or pissing and moaning.
Good luck against the Badgers.

Good luck against the Badgers. Oh, I'm sorry. I guess that was a handshake and a "good match!" This IS my first day, you know. And you have no idea how I care or what I think. But if you need your daily dose of superiority, go ahead and tell the world you care more.

They must have been epic. I'd give almost anything to get a copy of the OSU vs Teen match in the '04 regional semi final. IM me if anyone can accommodate me, thanks.
