China pulled ahead to 15-12 but then they overpass two in a row. The German right side is a big girl and very strong jousting at the net. Germany wins long rally. 15-15.

Germany gets another ace. 16-15. German BR blocked. 16-16. Great long rallies. WOW incredible save by China on broken play. Germany goes to their big right side in the back row when they need to terminate. 18-18 Germany goes up 20-18. TO China.
Both teams getting lots of touches on the ball, with the deep digger sending it back to the net for another attack.

Oh my god I think the german libero dug that with her face. Two long rallies won by germany. China goes long from back row. 22-20 German block leaves a hole for Yang. 22-21 Chinese libero takes one in the face. 23-21 Germany's best rotation comes up. TO China

German right side tools. 24-21 Yang stuffed. Germany takes third set 25-21. Grun and SSuschke carrying most of the load for germany. German passing looks better than China's right now.

#15 Grun for Germany has a sick jumpserve. They string points together when she's at the line. Then she comes up and takes the back row attacks. China making errors, Germany up 8-6. China kills from the middle 8-7. Ssuschke on the slide, 9-7. DAAAAAAMN. Grun hits it so hard from the back row, even though it's dug it goes straight into the air and takes several seconds to come back down... and gets a double. 10-7 China answers with a deep roll no one can get to. 10-8 A block and an ace pull even at 10-10.

OOOHhh. Furst literally goes straight down. Germany blocks EXTREMELY well. A long rally where China gets blocked and re-sets four times in a row before german kills. 13-11. China powers through the block 13-12. Grun is really a monster. 15-12. Lost the feed for a minute. Looks like 17-16. T.O. Germany
Germany definitely does not share USA's lack of OHs who end rallies.

Two block touch calls each side is unhappy with. 20-19. Long rally ends with CHI block. 20-20 Thumm hits a great slide from way out. 21-20. Bad pass and Chinese setter doubles. 22-20 TO China. China must win this to force game 5.

CHI slide tools. 22-21 Grun over the block and down with authority. 23-21 Yang looks tired but manages to get the kill off the block 23-22. Yang jumpserve forces GER error. 23-23. Grun with a GREAT fake to find the middle of the court. 24-23. GER serving set point.....

OverAndUnder, while i hardly reply in threads, i have enjoyed your posts in this one. be assured that updates on international indoor are being read. regarding Grun, she has always played better the more sets she gets and the more swings she takes. she's one of my preferred players to watch. as the year goes on, the more China intrigues me. i would love to know how Chen Zhonghe adjusts his game plan after this year.
