USA wins first set 25-20. USA is playing very well. The surprising thing to me is how sluggish China is playing. They are slow to the block and do not seem to be moving very well. I noticed it during their match against Germany in the first round...they just look tired. Not what I'm used to seeing out of the Chinese women's team.

(my connection is going in and out, but...) US is playing some good floor defense, some good scrambling plays that I saw. But they can't solve the Chinese setter's dumps so far.... Good showing by the US in G1.

Wow, China is out of sorts. Feng has been subbed out. Two overpasses in the last 3 plays. Then they can't get a sub in because the sub grabbed the wrong number paddle. This is strange. US up 6-1

USA gives away game 2 after the second technical timeout. If US loses the match, they'll be thinkin that had it during this game...

US errors after the second technical timeout were too much...gave it away. Wilkins serving and passing, Haneef and Metcalf hitting. I have such respect for Scott and Bown. Scott is 34 playing against 18-19 year olds and doing awesome. Bown has been almost perfect as well.

they were also down late in the game and put together a nice run to get w/in one at 23-24 --- just couldn't complete the comeback... but maybe this is good momentum to take into G3....

US down 13-7. US TO. Haneef and Wilkins are killing us. I understand why teams shouldn't worry about the US. Just give the US time, they'll beat themselves.
