POY is not only an award on stats. Stats are important, but POY also has that "it" factor. She has those intangibles that make her a force. She has the ability to turn the match around and score points on big plays. She keeps her team in the match and just has that factor that makes other fans hope she missed the bus and won't show up at the match. I have only seen 2 players with that this year; Pavan and Meriwether. I think Meriwether has the edge based on the talent that is around her. She just makes everyone better and really took the lead on this team. I hope everyone has a chance to see her play this season. When you watch her play, you can just see how significant her game is to the Bruins.

HH you kill me....
Larson is great and is a better all -around player than Pavan. BUt Pavan is Pavan and gets it done when neccesary.
Hodge is not in this race nor is Fawcett.
The race is on between Pavan and Merriweather. Barboza is great but so is Morrison.
Right now, my guess is Merriweather.

Whether the stats are there or not, Barboza is the best player in the country and she gets my vote for POY.

The POY has a set criteria, that is primarily statistical. Of the candidates, Merriwether is the only one with the big numbers. I think Pavan, Barboza and Morrison are the best players. Merriwether is great, but if there was a draft, I would choose Pavan, Barboza, and Morrison before her. They just impact the game more, in my opinion.
