From the stats, PSU looked less than average. Harmotto, Salyer, Walbridge had a poor hitting night. Fawcett and Hodge couldn't carry the load. Is this a blip or is PSU starting to slip?
Congrats to OSU.

I just got home from the match and another great effort by the Buckeyes. That is two great matches in a row. What has gotten into these girls. I was not impressed with Penn State, in fact I think anyone who saw the last two matches would say they were much more impressed with Purdue. The key to the new line up is Keil and Stephens passing of the ball. We just are not making the serving and passing errors we were making just a week and a half ago. Again, why did Stoney wait until this late in the season to put this line-up on the floor. I can see us winning out now and possibly hosting once again. Way to go Bucks! Right you are, brutus. The way they played tonight, they should absolutely win out. The Michigans are the last road teams, and I may -- OOPS, can't. That's OSU-UM football weekend. ;D Rats. Well, maybe we'll zip up to Ann Arbor Friday night and zip home before the dumpsters all start to burn (a practice run, if you will.) I hope I'm not reading too much into this, but a lot of the tone in this thread vibes more toward "PSU bad!" than "OSU good!" You were there. They're playing better than they have in at least two years (the P's: Purdue/PSU), wouldn't you agree? Or maybe Russ Rose is a Republican. I know Paterno is, so maybe the newest Blue State (thanks a lot, Gov.Taft, you idiot) swept along side the vote.

[Right you are, brutus. The way they played tonight, they should absolutely win out. The Michigans are the last road teams, I wouldn't be surprised if they lost at least one of those. I repeat what I said last week: dang, it's tough to win on the road in the Big Ten

Congrat's to the Buckeyes who lock up a ticket to the dance. Jim Stone is one of the best volleyball coaches in the country, his teams always improve. I have maintained two things about PSU this year, that they may win it all, and that of the teams who can win it all, they have the greatest potential to do what they did last night. Their two freshman don't just start, they touch the ball more than any other players, and they have a serve receive system that isn't anchored by a "true" passing OH. Those two things make you vulnerable every night, regardless of how much talent you have. They are starting two freshman and three soph's, and that is sometimes hard to remember ,when you only see the great talent. They need to bear down, and win the Big Ten, get healthier, and make a run.

Minnesota must be kicking themselves for losing to Michigan. They could be leading the Big 10 right now.

Great pictures for sure, but they also show you how the flaws come out specially on the attackers. Look at Hodge.....she is underneath the ball and has no vision of what is in fron of her. Couple of other pictures like that from other hitters as well. Only good ones I see is from Nicole, Myers, Jones and the foreign kid from OSU (she can bang). No wonder you have worn out shoulders with kinds of issues. Mercy - ESTRELLA
