and I wouldnt be shocked either. The Wahine will play better on Friday. From what Scott said, they are getting lectured by Dave as we speak.....er type. Dave needs to cuss and look scary like that NMSU coach.

My super secret inside source (my kid knows a player) tells me that the Wahine were complaining today about being 'exhausted.' Let's hope that's all it is. I am watching the Idaho/Nevada game and Idaho looks TOUGH. Sleep my Wahine, sleep. Oh-but wake up BEFORE the match starts next time, please.

Well, unlike in previous years when Wade was the assistant/associate head coach and could readily take over the leadership role when Shoji wasn't there, I don't see it with the present coaching staff. Hence...the lackluster effort.

I only caught the end of the match, but I Scott Robbs said that Dave Shoji skipped his customary end of match interview since he wanted to get them into the locker room as soon as possible. It seems like he wasn't too pleased with the level of play

I am almost glad I was not able to view the video stream of this match. It was hard enough to listen to. . . I am not sure what happened to the Wahine tonight, but lets hope its just exhaustion as LowVBIQ mentioned, and they can rest up for the match with Idaho. As preparation is everything, I will make sure I am well prepared for Friday and have my lucky Hawaii shirt ready to go. Somthing I was lacking this evening. . .

The Hawaii team gets to Moscow (pronounced Moss - Ko, NOT Moss-cow) tomorrow morning, pretty early, actually. That gives them a full day and change to rest up. Moscow is pretty peaceful and their hotel is nice, so hopefully they get rested up. Idaho will not want any excuses from Hawaii fans when they play.

Long Beach also beat Missouri by similar scores didn't they?
Missouri is the first team out in the AVCA poll. Teams change over the year.

Well IB, I watch a lot of volleyball and the Idaho team was NOT impressive at all. They were big but slow and not terribly athletic or skilled......we sure as hell didn't lose a game to them and if you guys are really concerned about them then you got some long days ahead in the post season!!!!

You're talking about a match that happened nearly three months ago, at the Pyramid. Wow! Big deal. So... tell me, how do you like Long Beach's chances of making past the first round this year? Ha! As if.
