This match starts at 1:30 PM (ET) and is slated to be shown on FSN. This is senior day for the Gators and I know they want to finish with a win. The last time these two met it went to 5. I'd like to see a good match but a UF sweep will make me very happy. Kentucky will try to show the committee why they deserve a bid to the big dance.

Florida wins game 3 and the match, 32-30. Heck of a comeback by the Gators down 23-17 in the final game.

Florida is amazing, they always put on such entertaining games! Bowers and Cusack are PHENOMS! Wow. Also stats can be misleading sometimes...Johnson struggled hitting negative, but still was a key player in the final few minutes. Fun match

This was the kind of weekend UF needed heading down the stretch. They proved they could win while not playing their best. They proved that they could win close games when pushed. I don't think I've ever seen a blocking display like UF put on in game 3. It was 23-17 and 5 of the next 6 points for UF were blocks. It was unreal. Bowers, Hampton and McGinnis just willed the team to victory. Then you've got KJ, who struggled all day, but she steps up with 2 huge kills near the end. Cusack had some amazing digs during that run as well to keep balls alive and then Rhian's serving was key all day, but esp. as the Gators made their late run. And Amber was solid as always. Just a total team effort, esp. in game 3. They could've easily just given up and gone on to game 4, but the fight I saw in them is something they were missing earlier in the year. They got mad that they were playing poorly and behind by 6, and they did something about it. Hampton's block on Britenriker was the play of the match. That was just all out effort by Marcie. Great win, time to rest up, visit the kids at Shands before Thanksgiving and head to Orlando.

I really wanted Douglas to be put in in Game 3, she's been pretty clutch when she needed to be this season I felt that would have made for a great senior day for her if she could have came in and helped the momentum. Oh well, we still won.

I think Florida will make it to the Final 4 this year. I saw them play when they came to Hawaii and they were scary. I also feel if they get matched with Nebraska like previous years, this time Florida can take them down.

IMO that streak is kindof lame. It's technically correct, but it barely counts in my book.
They split the regular season with UTK the year before last, and then lost to them in the tournament finals... If they had split, and there was no tournament, i would have said it was fine. If they split and won the tournament, it would obviously be fine. And if they had split, and some random third team had won the tournament, it would still be fine...
But the fact that Florida and UTK split, and then Tennessee beat florida in the tournament gives it completely to Tennessee in my book.
Sadly, I am a Tennessee fan, so everyone will just write that off as bias. But i would say the same thing about an identical situation in another conference...

Well it was always referred to as "regular season title" so the tournament shouldn't determine it. Its just like in college basketball, alot of conferences will have regular season champions but then have a tournament to determine the conference tournament champion. I get where you are coming from and think its a logical point but since the tournament is not part of the regular season it doesn't count.

I think Cusack is Florida's MVP for this year. Without her.... they would really be struggling with their ball control. She is a rock solid Libero.
Someone mentioned Douglas. I've seen her play several times for the Gators. Has she struggled with any injuries while at Florida? For such a big girl... playing for a good coach for 4 years... I'm a bit surprised by her lack of development. Not everyone can develop into a star, but she just seems awkward and off balance when she plays.

Technically, Florida should have been crowned regular season champs over Tennessee because Florida won 3-1 in Knoville and Tennessee won 3-2 in Gville. The Tournament doesn't count towards the regular season.

Yeah, she's been bothered with injuries her whole time here.
