Delano Thomas is coming in. Get this - He was wearing a necklace. He had to take it off. What happened to being ready to play when you are on the bench? (I know you might not be reading this today, but tomorrow you will.) 30-17 Hawaii wins the second game. Between LaBarre's pants and Thomas' necklace - it has been a wierd night. Good thing they are playing Irvine and not any of the top teams or those "mental" errors could have cost them. Wilton has to be shaking his head.

Ok. Gotta tell you. LaBarre had another "brain fart" (the announcer's words). He did not realize he was supposed to be on the floor after the time out. It took him a little while to get onto the court.
Is Hawaii on auto-pilot tonight?
(yes, I realize that I am talking to myself. But on an earlier post I admitted to multiple personalities. So it is ok that I ask myself questions. I guess I can answer them too).
The answer to the question of whether Hawaii is on auto pilot tonight is YES.
Hawaii is up now 18-14 with another time out. It sure sounds like Hawaii has this match easily, but the announcer is entertaining enough to continue to listen.
Besides, I have passed 200 posts. I am getting closer to being a junior!

They have been making changes all night.
LaBarre is in Muise is coming in for Stanheiser Delgado is in Bender is in Tuyay is in Reft is in
I am not sure who I am missing.
Hawaii is now serving for the match 29-23 Dump by the Irvine setter
Irvine serves out to give game three and the match to Hawaii.
All three games - the last point was scored by Hawaii due to a missed serve by Irvine.
WOW!!

Some final stats:
Hawaii hit .351 for the match Irvine hit .247 for the match
Azenha had 16 kills Bender had 12 kills
Fell had 13 kills Pelzel had 8 kills
Hawaii had 2 service aces and only 5 errors Irvine had 2 aces and 22 errors (OUCH)
21 digs for Hawaii to 19 digs for Irvine 10.5 blocks for Hawaii to 5 blocks for Irvine
The announcer noted that Hawaii was not serving tough. They were using a lot of float serves and Irvine really struggled with their passing. He also noted that Irvine has been averaging 3+ blocks per game. They came up way short this match.
As I said before - it seemed to me that Hawaii was on auto-pilot tonight. Sometimes it is nice to have a match like that. They need to pick up the intensity though. They play Pepperdine at Pepperdine next week and then the playoffs.
I wonder if Bookum was there? I hope he was and I hope he gives us an update!
This is your play by play announcer signing off for the night!

The announcer from KKEA is Scott Robbs. He is AWESOME, as you noted.
He knows how to call the play-by-play for volleyball, which is, as most of us have painfully found out by listening to others, NOT EASY!
Thanks for the play-by-plays, Rocky. It's kind of fun, isn't it?

I brushed up on my dictation skills.
He is sooooo much better than any of the other announcers.
UCLA's announcers weren't too bad. They just did not give as many score updates. There were two people and it was a little more difficult to follow.
I did have fun tonight. I hope it was entertaining to everyone as well.
