St. John's isn't ranked anymore...I wanted them to be ranked when we faced them.

And Minnesota is in the top ten again.
Ruffy will be so happy.

How is Pepperdine at 15-10 still ranked in the top 25? I don't care how many of them are "good" losses, either. For real.

This has to be the least amount of chatter re: the AVCA poll ever! Bring on Selection Sunday. That should generate some posts!

That's right AVCA keep moving Hawaii up, a little more.... a little more.
I just hope the selection committee see the same. The last thing i'd want to see is the Wahine matched up with one of the Top Five seeds in the Regional Semis!

A club that lost their first conference match in 85 years can't be that strong! ;D

No, Ruffda "doesnt' care" about the poll. Besides, he's voting against Minnesota this week.

i don't like utah up there so high...they don't have any good wins to speak of other than in-conference (so i guess you can make the we beat byu who beat stanford association). they took a game off florida at florida and a game off usc at usc, but other than that there's no real way to make a comparison between utah and the other top ten teams. am i missing something or are they just the beneficiaries of an undefeated conference season with everyone else above them losing in tougher conferences?

I was a broken record on this topic but, since you bring it up, it seems pretty clear Utah is the beneficiary of their easy conference schedule. They've played no one for 10 weeks, but they've managed to beat the no ones, so they keep getting bumped up. In a way, it's a bit like the PAC-10 having a lock on the top six all season long -- yeah, there are losses, but the only teams they lose to are each other, so nobody moves down. Anyone wanna bet how much different the post-season top ten will look from the current one?

This has to be the least amount of chatter re: the AVCA poll ever! Bring on Selection Sunday. That should generate some posts! Typically people only care about their team being shafted at rank 13 if there's some other team being overrated at rank 4. It's hard this year for anyone between 7-20 to make a non-imaginary case that they should be moved up with those first six teams or even moved up much within the 7-20 range. We've been parroting it for several years, and now parity has finally arrived. I think this year the AVCA poll since October has been mostly right on the money. It's kinda scary actually.

I think there is so little posting, because the poll is pretty good. Utah is a big ?, but the rest of the top 10 looks accurate. 11-20 pretty good as well.

Well, there's what OverAndUnder said. Then there's that fact that in less than two weeks the teams will be finding out who's better on the court and lobbying for a better poll position won't be the only way to get your team some respect any more. Then there are some of us that are just tired of all the discussion.
Who else is ready for the postseason, already?
