So, Alex Blatt, our '08 setter recruit out of Illiniois.......does anyone have a read on her? JTawa is pretty high on her. She's supposed to be fairly raw, but very athletic. Touches 9'-something high (10?) at 5'10". I'd bet she's a lot like Hartmann...

GT has this one at 30-22, too.
You sure it was 30-23?

And the Gophers held last week's National Player of the Week, Ms. Lynch, to only 6 kills, hitting .125 and no digs or blocks for the match.

-22, -22, and -23 were the scores.
MN distributed the ball really well, and had a total of nine hitting errors for the match -- three of those were forced errors on blocks. Our defense was good overall, as well. The only stat weakness was in service errors, but I don't think it's a problem. I'll take errors if the opponent is thrown out of system frequently enough.
Marci should really have a 0.500 hitting -- the push that gave her a point was the second push to the same corner in the rally. She pushed it to the corner, and Purdue barely managed to get it and freeball it over. So Marci pushed it right back to the same corner for the point. Both of them were attempts to score.

I would have loved to have seen this offensive production, hitting .430 for the match with only 9 errors. It will be interesting to see what Purdue can do against Wisconsin tomorrow night as the match will be on TV - tape delayed.

I'm confused....Purdue wins twice last week running a 5-1 offense and then comes in tonite and starts with a 6-2? Just once I would love to see Shondell run the same offense with the same lineup for at least a few weeks in a row. The team has never had a chance to get into a groove as the lineup changes and format changes just does not allow any consistency from the players. Why not stay with what worked last week?

Did they start with a 6-2? I thought they started with Gray and a 5-1?

Purdue ran a 5-1 the first two games and got hammered. According to game tracker, they only played a 6-2 in game 3 and were much more competitive.
