so I don't know how much longer I will have power, so if I don't post again tonight, i'll be sitting by the candle light, drinking all my booze I have before it gets warm. we have a hell of a gale force winds going on. but i do have good news we had 24 ft swells off the coast earlier today, so if you can, bring your board and come on up, you can crash at my place and we can act medieval. surfs up at the coast: anybody else have power in the seattle area? oh, about a 10 ft 2 by 4 just nailed my roommates car, thank god my car is protected by his.

yesterday, 2 of my grandma's neighbors in Idaho had their roofs blown off.
It delayed my parents flight as they are coming out here to Hawaii currently... hopefully they make their connections!

Either or both. I'd be surprised if that picture was taken anywhere near Seattle though.

I was just checking the ASP TOUR web-site and they have 15-20 Ft at pipeline for a contest right now....but nothing like what you have. In northern California near Santa Cruz they have a giant break but nothing like this. This wave almost reminds me the JAWS break that they have in Maui.

Bleh. That wave is only 6-8ft. when measured by the Hawaiian wave size scale.

The Pipeline masters just finished up yesterday in 4 to 6 ft surf. If it was 15-20 ft, the event would be postponed, too dangerous at Pipe. I think you're talking about Mavericks, comparable to Jaws but Jaws or Peahi as hawaiians would call it, is a heavier wave. That's a nice pic, but the water off of the coast is too cold. I'd stay on the beach. Just noticed the pic was from a tow- in event. Wonder if Laird was there on his way to visit bomber in Wisconsin?

^yeah isn't Pipeline like 3-4 feet deep(and rocky)? I'm sure a yard-sale with 15-20 ft surf would be instant death.
