Bad news Husker fans. I called the HuskerVision office today and they told me that unless something drastic changes, they are not going to produce a 2006 Nebraska Volleyball season highlight tape, in the mold of the '95 and '00 tapes you can purchase wherever Husker videos are sold. The guy told me that because ESPN owns the rights to the final four coverage, they can't use any of it, which would make a highlight video incomplete. So they're just not going to make one. I don't know about the rest of you, but I was upset to hear this. I was really looking forward to having a video like that to put with the rest of my collection. I don't understand. Hasn't ESPN or ESPN2 been broadcasting the matches for many years? I definitely know that the 2000 match was on ESPN2, and I'm pretty sure it was in '95 as well. All the years in between then & now, too. One would think ESPN would want to make some money on the rights to these broadcasts, videos/DVDs of which would sell pretty well. At least in Nebraska.

Good point but I meant like the Brian G bobblehead. This works pretty well for Lil' Red since he walks around like that sometimes. Well - I did come across other football related Huskers bobbleheads, including Frank Solich and Tom Osborne. If they can do that - why not John Cook? www.huskerpedia.com/mall/bobr/bobble/index.htmlWOW, was I ever wrong. I guess the Husker athletic marketing department would stoop that low. SHUDDER!! Please, Please, Please don't do this to volleyball. Please show some dignity.
