I was watching the 6 PM news this evening on Channel 5 (NBC) in Chicago and they ran a special on Jenny Lang Ping.
It appears it will be repeated at 10 PM central for those (in Chicagoland) who are interested in watching it.

It's either "Lang Ping" or "Jenny Lang", NOT "Jenny Lang Ping". The JPL format is simply wrong. Do you say "Jackie Chan Kong-Sang" when you're referring to the martial arts star "Jackie Chan"? Of course not. It's either "Chan Kong Sang" (his real name) or "Jackie Chan" (his stage name).

Wooo..... sensesitive.... ;D It didn't appear the broadcasters knew much about volleyball so I will just settle for getting some coverage. I wonder if Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympics had anything to do with them choosing this story???

Most foreign devils couldn't care less or are too ignorant to notice.

Just because USA Volleyball uses the "Jenny Lang Ping" form does not make it right. They are idiots in this regard. Jenny Lang Ping is the incorrect form. Here are the correct forms:
Lang Ping (last name + first name (Chinese format)) Ping "Jenny" Lang (Western nickname format) -- it's like saying Kong-Sang "Jackie" Chan Jenny Lang (Western format) - like Kristi Yamaguchi or Michelle Kwan Ping Lang (first name + last name (Western format))
I don't know who promulgated this whole "Jenny Lang Ping" format but seriously man, this is wrong.
Jenny Lang Ping = Western first name (Jenny) + Chinese last name (Lang) + Chinese first name (Ping). First name, last name, first name. Does this make sense to you?

Jerome "Curly" Howard Know him? I am just guessing that the people using the "triple" name are just attempting to make sure the name rings a bell to a wider audience i.e. the people who recognize Lang Ping & the people who recognize Jenny Lang. No mass conspiracy or attempt to disgrace anyone. Besides, Lang Ping seems to be the type of person who would let USAV know if she thought it was improper and should be stopped. If it doesn't bother her then it shouldn't bother her fans.

Jerome "Curly" Howard Know him? Hey, man, did you even read my post? I never complained about the use of the "triple" name format. I even said the following was correct: Ping "Jenny" Lang which is along the lines of Jerome "Curly" Howard. However, "Jenny" Lang Ping is incorrect.

I never read your full posts when you are complaining about something.. I was just guessing what you were probably complaining about... Does it show? (It really gets boring during the off-season so I guess we make up stuff to keep the VT community going.)
