Does the gopher have a pointy stick handy?

If my records are correct the Gophers have been dominating the Badgers for the last 5 years. 8 out of the last 10 match ups have found the smaller but more vicious Gopher to be victorious! The Badger is vulnerable to the stealth tactics of the Gopher....we have all seen Caddyshack!

Ha! I initially read the title of this thread as "Gopher belittling Badgers?"

The Gopher has much respect for the Badger but the Gopher knows how to prepare well for the Border Battle.

A pointy stick will help.

Why is a singular battling a plural?

The singular has a pointy stick.

How come the plurals don't have a pointy stick?

Smaller brains?
No, that's not it. A paucity of pointy sticks?
Can you imagine? A pack of badgers with pointy sticks surrounding a lone gopher with his own pointy stick? We're talking the stuff of legend -- or, more likely, a little bloody mess.

Why does the Gopher get to grab the few remaining pointy sticks? Why not the collective Badgers?

Gophers are more nimble. We have to give them that much. Quick on their feet. Adroit, as it were.

No. I'm not following. There are lots of holes in your explanation. I'm sorry. This is a waste of my valuable time. I could be doing something more productive, like picking lint out of my belly button.

Don't try picking lint out of the Gopher's belly button while it is armed with the pointy stick.
I'm not sure why the Gopher's belly button is armed with a pointy stick though.
