Thanks for sharing! It was a nice write-up on Becky Pavan, plus it was fun to notice the spelling differences, and such. What are "minor sports"? Does that signify an age group, or a non-major sport?

I wish I could have a few words with the marketing genius who thought it was clever to use "congradulations" for graduations.

Minor sports could refer to most sports in Ontario communities where most coaches are not paid but are volunteers. These are sports groups that are outside the school setting, where again coaches are volunteers and not paid by the school to coach.

Well, if you can get to Ottawa, Ontario this week-end, you can catch her in the 18U Provincials with the Waterloo Tigers. Our 18U Nationals are in Abbotsford, BC next month (check the Volleyball Canada website for details). I have no clue if her club team is playing in any US Tournaments. Heard through the grapevine that she's down to 4 schools --- wait! Think that's old news.... where have I been???

Paper is The Record --- Waterloo Region paper -- she was MVP of Waterloo County Senior Girls VB All Star list. Don't think th Holick Award's been announced yet.

Don't think she is playing 18U's. Her team only competed in the 17U's.

C-O-N-G-R-A- T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S I wish I could have a few words with the marketing genius who thought it was clever to use "congradulations" for graduations. It was spelled correctly in the article. Redincolorado probably has some friends graduating, as it is a cute play on spelling when you send a card.

I just hope there's more Pavan daughters who can almost go to Minnesota. It's like a Christmas that never actually gets here. What's better than that?

Well, when I saw "shuttlecock" and "basketball" in the same groupings, it made me wonder!

So-------has ANYONE seen her official short list? I've seen "rumors" saying Wisconsin, Minnesota & Penn State, but could find nothing to verify this.

I thought it was Kentucky, Purdue, Ohio State and Minnesota. Wisconsin seems to fit in there, too.
I'll take keystone's word for it. I don't expect her to be a Gopher.
