The Big 10 and the rest of the nation has to contend with Becky Pavan at Ohio State starting in 2008.

There is no denying Keystone. He/She is usually right on with the inside knowledge/predictions. This makes another tall & talented middle (from what we have heard) in the Ohio State class to go along with the Barhorst girl from in-state. I had a chance to see her team in action in Pittsburgh and they have some very talented players headed to Ohio State. Congrats Becky.

wish her well.
MN has two exceptional middles coming in 07 and 08 -- plus other top 10 talent -- so I don't see this as a big loss to them. This is a much bigger loss for Purdue and Wisc., who could probably use a player of her caliber.
Ultimately, this will make the Big 10 stronger and deeper. A good thing!

Yes, but where will she transfer in 2009?

What happened to Hawaii? This sucks.
Is there, like, a land bridge between Ohio and Canada? It's not on my map. But I've got an old 1998 edition.

Yes, but where will she transfer in 2009? Zing! The Kid is wired in, FWIW. The only thing he ever told me that didn't come true was that Stephanie Thater was going to rule the world one day.

This is good news for The Orange-o State University. I haven't much cared about them since the end of 2004 for some mysterious reason. Maybe adding a Canadian player will give me an excuse to care about them. God knows PSU is too frustrating of a program for me to become a fan. It's so sad that out of all the teams and programs in the Big10, Minnesota is the only one anyone outside the Big10 can stand to hear about. Those tawny-furred prairie dogs are just tooooo cute!

Yes, but where will she transfer in 2009? Once again, this board needs to add a "laughing face" icon.

You have to admire a kid who stands up to the closest scrutiny and still comes out smiling and with dignity. At the 17U Ontario Provincials, all five finalists had representatives sitting through every game of every match for both days. You begin to feel a bit sorry for the recruit, until you consider what a great opportunity lies before her. Congratulations to Becky and to Jamie Holmes, who was very classy in recruiting Becky.

I like the Gophers because the Gopher fans on the board (most of them anyway) are very likeable people. Ironically, most people root against Hawai'i because they find just the opposite to be true. As for Becky Pavan, I know nothing about her.

Heck, look as the silly BASTA! movement on this board.

I think to differentiate any confusion with big sis, we need to start calling Becky "the Pavan" from "the" Ohio State... or "the Pavan" for short.

There is no BASTA! movement on this board. It's only two -- maybe three -- peeps, plus a dog named Toto.
