Actually, I can tell you that it is not the FSU warchant (at least in regards to Florida). Utah does that whenever they get a spike from an OH.

Up 24-19, Utah climbs back to it at 24. 25's, 26's, Florida now up 29-26 after back to back attack errors by Haynie. 3 match points, let's hope they don't choke those away.

The good: 17 blocks, led by 10 from Kelsey, 6 from Kisya. I hope these last few matches are a sign the block has come around. The blocking has been outstanding the last 3 or 4 matches. Amber 18 kills, hit .389, Kisya 13, hit .500. Cusack 23 digs. Janine played well off the bench. The bad: Bledsoe hit -.555, the passing. Marcie games 1 & 2(4 kills, 5 errors) The ugly: 14 service errors
It's a win, in a tough environment against a scrappy Utah team, but this team has a lot of work to do.

I remember Villanova fans did it while their band played Rocky Top during the men's basketball tournament a few years ago.

Also, lots of schools have stolen the Gator chomp, including Wisconsin. Since we are not Florida, I refrain from doing it, except when watching Florida football games. I still like the Gators, although I have to go with Spurrier when they play South Carolina. Did you hear what he said when Stacey Dales asked him what it meant to his program: "that we are 1-0 in the SEC." That is a great answer. I think it probably added to the 46.5 percent of people in Athens who dislike him most among SEC coaches.

He's still a Gator through and through. I was so glad they beat Georgia last night.

Take off the orange & blue glasses if you can't see that.

So was Marcie the only bright spot for the Gators? How did Killingsworth do?

So was Marcie the only bright spot for the Gators? How did Killingsworth do? No, Marcie struggled in games 1 & 2. She was hitting negative after game 2 with just 4 kills. Games 3 and 4, much better, she ended up with 15 kills, 2 aces, 19 digs, 3 blocks. Kisya had a great match, 13 kills, hit .500, 6 blocks Amber was great as well, 18 kills, .389 Angie had a solid all around match. Cusack was great as usual. There were a lot of bright spots. But with a veteran team like this, they are still making a lot of freshmen mistakes. I realize there are some freshmen getting a lot of playing time, I just don't expect to see Marcie making mental mistakes and struggling to pass, Angie making some poor setting decisions, things like that. I'm happy they won, but I just hope they don't go thinking because they won, there are no problems. I'm sure they don't think that, but it's just frustrating to have some mistakes continue to creep up. I'm very excited about the blocking, however. That will win them a lot of matches where they aren't playing well offensively, like tonight. And the floor defense, they dug up a ton of balls. www.gatorzone.com/volleyball/boxscore.php?gameid=6804

Just one more note, I can't help but think how good Utah would've been this year with Salvo, Anderson and Toone. A serious threat for the Final 4, if not a favorite for a final 4 berth. Beth is a great coach to have gotten this group to play hard, night in and night out and compete at a high level, even though they are shorthanded. Kudos to her and her staff and her players and I wish them the best as the season goes on.

They spit on the Final 4. Only an intergalactic championship would be good enough to get them on the national team.
They really believe that. Really.

But without a doubt, you won't find many better 2 - 5 teams out there.

In general though the practice of "doing the rivals thing" is stupid.
