Is it me or is the 2007 just flying right on by. Hawaii will be on the road for the next 10 days and when they return home, it'll be October, having played half their schedule already.
At least there are some interesting matches to look foward to!

I'm sad, too. I remember opening weekend of the the 2007 season like it was almost yesterday! Back then it seemed that the athletic talent was deeper than it had been in years, and the championship could go to almost anyone. Now, here, with September half over, I get misty thinking to those days when we all were young and beautiful, and the sky was the limit.... Maybe tomorrow I'll be over the letdown enough to start a thread about the 2008 season, since the glory days of 2007 have passed so quickly bye bye by..........

On the one hand, I still remember the countdown meter on this site displayed "81 days left" before the start of volleyball. On the other hand, I'm ready to move on to the NCAAs.

Yeah, let's just cancel the conference play and conference tourneys and get right to the meat of it. That'll save everybody a lot of time and trouble, to say nothing of pointless (it seems) hours of discussion, threads and postings on VT, which none of us seem to like anyway. OTOH, I've got plenty of TiVo disk space, I've paid up my HuskerNside subscription and I am looking somewhat forward to BTN's coverage of Big 10 WCVB. Maybe it's too late to do anything about the way this season is being conducted.

Now, if only the rest of the volleyball world would go along with us.

People! There's still a lot of volleyball to be played. Duh. I think we know that. You need to turn your sarcasm detector up a notch. Whatever happened to the new HTML tag "sarcasm.../sarcasm"? Didn't that get approved by the PTB committee?

In terms of matches played, we have hit about the 40% mark. Right at about 2000 matches so far in DI this season. The season is about 5000 matches total.

Something touched Prolific's sore spot. --or-- maybe sarcasm is not allowed on this message board? I doubt that. But sorry for pointing it out, if that offends your sensibilities.
