Hawai'i overcame an 0-2 deficit to defeat New Mexico State, 40-42, 37-39, 30-28, 35-33, 17-15.
Jamie Houston led the way for Hawai'i with 36 kills, 15 digs and five blocks. Juliana Sanders hit .500 with 14 kills and eight blocks while Kari Gregory tied her career-high with 14 blocks, adding eight kills and two aces. Jessica Keefe came off the bench to hit .500 with 10 kills, five blocks and five digs while Amber Kaufman added 10 kills and four blocks. Jayme Lee led all players with 35 digs and six aces.

Yeah, sounds like you had some sweet dreams last night, heh heh. That's the sort of individual performances I would have expected from a Wahine team at LT in the past. Hopefully they were looking ahead to NMSU and will deliver it there on Saturday. One can only dream

Does anyone know the context of this quote? Unless she was talking about just the conference season, it doesn't even make sense. It says in the quote that she's talking about La Tech and NMSU... La Tech they played yesterday and NMSU which they play tomorrow...so yes it's referring to the conference season. The actual quoted part refers to "the easiest match of the year" and "the hardest match of the year", which to me is talking about the entire season. Unlike you, I don't feel that the rest of the language from the blog makes it clear that she was referring only to the conference season. That's why I was looking for the context of the quote.

well, whatever Kaufman meant by it... benign or not ... it fired up LaTech for at least the first game ... Then Amber should say that to all UH opponents in the WAC other than NMSU; the WAC needs to get going!
