Why'd you make this a thread? You could have put it into a best selling book.

94. Cat Stevens. Turns out, he almost drowned and then converted, but is that any reason to stop making good music?
I used to listen to "Tea for the Tillerman" and "Teaser and the Firecat" for hours, think about my first -- of many -- unrequited loves (Karen!), and then wander out of the house in a melancholy stupor. It's amazing I didn't get hit by a bus.

93. Karen. This is too painful for me to write about just now. Maybe later. After breakfast and a dose of Cat Stevens.

The Beatles' "Magical Mystery Tour". Incredibly bad. Beyond words. Even "Gigli" is considered a masterpiece compared to that schlop.

It's not on your list, but in mine, I'd like to include the following as a big disappointment:
Not being able to say, "I'd like to thank the Academy..." at the Oscar ceremonies. I've always wanted to say that. At parties and luncheons, whenever I'm up for an award, I always look for an opportunity to utter those magic words.

You really gonna do 100 of these? Any time limit?
BTW, you can still turn this thread into an award winning book, just like all the newepaper columnists do by "writing" books consisting of their past columns.

You know what is a major disappointment? Sliced bread. You always here people saying "that's the greatest thing since sliced bread" but in reality sliced bread isn't that impressive and therefore if you are using that phrase, the thing you are trying to compliment is not being complimented highly.
