On Friday and Saturday nights I view using my LG the V (need to upgrade to EnV!). Otherwise I'm such a geek that I'm near a computer almost all the time!

Actually I try to post using my Treo 650 but the Treo's browser will not let me login.... So I can just read other posts, no posting. I am waiting for a new Treo that has Windows Mobile 6.0. I am hoping that will work like a charm. My Tilt has Windows Mobile 6, and I am not able to log on to this site with it

That's weird my Verizon VX6700 has Windows Mobile 5 and has no problems connecting.
At least not now, I did a ton of web searches to get it working online when I first purchased it like 14-15 months (or so) ago.
Good luck tracking things down!
Who is your provider?
Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, other?

I had problems connecting to login with my blackjack AT&T phone until just recently.
I changed it so that it connects to "the internet" instead of "Media Net"
Maybe that will help some AT&T folk?

If you want cheap mobile access, I've been using this service - hopke.net/proxy/proxyhome.php - it's a buck a month plus the minutes I use count against my monthly minutes. And it works. I don't know who hopke is, but I like it!

I move my laptop from room to room. Does that count? I can top that....I sit in a swivel chair with rollers. Sometimes I swivel side to side. Sometimes I roll the chair around a little. Sometimes I do both at the same time. That's really mobile.

Don't most cell companies have unlimited data plans that are cheaper than paying per minute? I have verizon's unlimited plan for ~$50 per month instead of paying $100+ for paying per minutes. Some months the unlimited plan is more expensive than only using a small number of data minutes but for most months the unlimited data plan is cheaper than paying per minute at a moderate to high numbers of minutes used. I've never bothered figuring out the actual break even number of minutes though. Plus in ares that support it by data plan can reach broadband speeds (I'd gotten rates as high at 2 Mb in some areas of the country and over 1 Mb in some parts of the Twin Cities area. In some of the very remote areas we've been to on vacation there haven't been any data towers and even just the phone would get inconsistent coverage. Some places we visit during holidays get only dial-up (to double that speed) connection rates but even that's better than no connection at all. One of the nice features of the XV6700 phone is that it can also be connected to my notebook computer in a tethered mode so it behaves like a modem connection (again transfer rates vary depending on data towers in the area I'm trying to use it) though I've been able to play games like EQ2 at more than 1 Mb rates for long periods of time locally and in some other cities / areas.

Honestly, do you geeks really need access to this site 24/7 so as to require the use of a cell phone? Some of you geeks remind me of those idiot drivers who are constantly on their cell phone while racing down the highway at 85 MPH or those teenagers who are talking on their phone while chewing gum and crossing the street at the same time.
I use my cell phone twice...maybe three times...a day. That's it. The rest of the time, I play Chess on it.

What about on a laptop using an HSDPA account to post on here?
Not that I am right now...but I could later on (say in 7 weeks).
