Works great on firefox.
I like it. As I said in another thread, I forgot about the other forums. My bookmark goes straight to this board.
You'll get to the point where you don't even see it...you'll get used to it.

It's really annoying to have this thing constantly moving while you're scrolling down the screen. Its too distracting. I don't like it.

Don't like it -- its annoying, jumps around as you scroll. If it stays fixed and doesn't move it would be okay. ditto I concur. Make it a constant grey tab all the way down. As long as it doesn't move, I'm ok with it, but that movement is tough on my eyes.

I got rid of it! By loading NoScript as an add-on to Firefox. Brilliant!

I'm indifferent, but I do find the movement distracting. My problem is that I was seeing some pages badly formatted. They were too wide and I had to H scroll to read messages. I attributed the problem to a side effect of the side menu changes, but I don't see it on all pages.
I'm using IE7 with all updates installed.

all I had to do was send $10.00 to the Church of the Sacred Bleeding Heart of Jesus in Los Angeles asking for prayers that the Menu would go away and my prayer was answered it is now gone.

I don't mind it being there on the side, I would prefer it stayed still.

Safari users, the revised menu should work... again, let me know.
I'll look for a static solution, but don't know of one off-hand.

The side menu isn't too bad, what is horribly annoying and absolutely ruins my experience is the new scrolling information bar at the top of the page. When it goes to a second line, my whole page jumps.
I'm telling you, I've never been more annoyed with a web site. If it always stayed one line, it might be nice, but when it goes from one to two lines it creates a constant unpredictable jumping effect. It's similar to someone bumping your elbow every few seconds when you read a book. HORRIBLE PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't get that jumping that everyone is complaining about; probably because I have removed the side menu altogether (sorry to those of you who are linked through the side menu - but you've gone!).
