One of the ads from Exxon Mobil is the worst, not for its Desperate Rehabbing of Our Public Reputation" sleaziness (I ask you, what is the product being sold by that commercial?), but for the clumsy inanity of its premise: "Hi, I'm [high ranking Exxon employee]. When people find out I'm an executive for Exxon, they always ask me, 'Why is Exxon Mobil doing so much to fight the spread of malaria in Africa?'" Really?? You're telling us that when you're at cocktail parties, champagne-and-chandelier galas, first class seating in transAtlantic flights, $100k membership country club golf courses, and Tiffany glass auctions, people making chit chat introduce themselves, ask your name, and then immediately gush "Why is Exxon Mobile doing so much to fight the spread of malaria in Africa?"

Most commercials are designed to entice viewers to buy products, services, or points of view and hence "politically incorrect". Without regard to that, the Subway commercials are disgusting and badly designed: An Asian lady biting into a five dollar bill... The soda showers inside the restaurant... Is quizno's a public company?

How about the "Isn't your sister lactose-intolerant?" AT&T commercial? That line drove me nuts.

I used my Tivo to skip over the commercials .. but I would always stop and re-watch the Dragon heating up the water for the spa. That was my favorite one.
