Belmont Abbey College (DII, NC) has hired Mary DeJute. She's most recently been a head coach at Heidelberg (DIII, OH) and has had head coaching stints at Mercer and Northwestern State.

Princeton has their man........he's coming in from the Sunshine State. A young, journeyman of sorts. I would imagine they will post something soon but as of this morning still nothing.

Heard Marshall is moving very quickly... 1st candidate on campus today! Also heard that all three that are being looked at the closest have A LOT of coaching experience.

DeJute had her name in for a couple DI jobs, so it seems she was intent on moving.
Marshall - A LOT of experience? Hmmm. This is purely a guess but might you say that he has LODES of experience? Or an am I off base?

Nice but a little to clear cut for me. Now it will not be hard to guess who will be in the Jim at Marshall.

Not a bad deal if JL gets it. Is the Purdue job for real? That seems as an interesting one. Also saw that Wright State has a second assitant coach. That is a first. ESTRELLA

Lodes is going to be an assistant to the guy (Mitch), who replaced the guy (Kress, at Fairfield) who replaced him at Buffalo. Now if Mitch can go to N Illinois or Fla State and Lodes inherits the Marshall program we will really be onto something!

First of all, Mitch is still interviewing at least 3 people, so jumping to conclusions as to who will be his assistant is a little premature. Jim would be excellent, but he might not even be the leading candidate.

While it's true that many people felt Lodes was the front-runner and that it was his job to turn down, apparently Mitch has pulled a "dodge & swerve" and gone with another candidate. I like this individual and wish her the best of luck, she's certainly going to need it!
