Maybe. Somewhere. But, like I said, there would be other emotions that would overwhelm any compassion I might feel toward her. _Others_, not as emotionally invested, would probably feel a great deal of compassion for her. "About time" would be a common refrain.
But I'm not sure how that applies here.
Btw, I feel compassion for her (Sanford's wife), too. More for her, of course. But that's all superficial since I have no idea what was going on in their marriage (nor do I want to).
Sorry, Bob. This all started with a simple statement on my part about feeling sorry for Jackson. It is relevant, sort of.

Right, nittany. So everyone who is _accused_ of a crime is now guilty of that crime, because OJ got off? Or do you have some specific information about the Jackson case that you'd like to share with us? Nicole was obviously a victim, regardless of the trial. She didn't murder herself. Jackson's accuser? It's entirely possible he wasn't a victim at all -- whether there was a trial or not. Rather weak response. Each of your sentences contradicts the previous sentence. You tell Bob you are sorry to go off topic, yet you indulge yourself in lengthy posts. What kind of apology is that? You claim that my posts are of no interest to anyone, yet you respond to every one of my posts. Could you explain that? (If you do, start another thread to honor your phony apology to Bob.)

I cannot help your lack of reading and comprehension skills.
You, again, misquote me. I said OUR conversation is of no interest to anyone else. Par for the course, however. See that first sentence, right there above this one.
Good night, nittany. Last abusive post of the evening is all yours. I need to go deal with my cheating wife.

You dipsticks need to take your bickering to another thread. This one is about Michael Jackson passing away. Wow, poor Sanford dying so suddenly of a heart attack while screwing his mistress. I hope his wife will forgive him now that he's gone. Will his body be flown back from Argentina at Government expense?

Sorry if this has already been answered.
How come MJ''s kids are white? They look totally caucasion to me. Was MJ not the sperm donor?

I hope its true that his father Joe has been left out of Michaels will. What an opportunist and worthless father. I especially hope he doesn't get ahold of Mijac.

This is an interesting thread, in an uninteresting sort of way.
What I don't understand is why I was going on and on about his acquittal. I knew the guy was messed up. Probably perverted (and that is confirmed now, imo). But I still feel sorry for him. I don't think his perversion was something that happened in a vacuum.
Basically he was a science experiment. That is what happens, given the circumstances of his life.

The only thing I seemed to obsess about was how MJ's death upstaged Farrah Fawcett's death. And I didn't even like Farrah Fawcett!

There's a part in the documentary where one of the victims says they'd go shopping for toys. "Normally," he says (I paraphrase), "your parents will tell you "you can pick ONE. Michael would say "fill up the cart." "
Michael's entire life, almost, was like that. That is not good for you. He never grew up and he never grew up in the corrupting hell of excess.
This thing is hard to watch.

When they announce "LaToya Jackson is dead," I won't be sad. I don't hate her but she just seems like a waste of space and time.

Did his dad really castrate him?
Hadn't heard that before this week, but it would explain a LOT.

Did his dad really castrate him? Hadn't heard that before this week, but it would explain a LOT. Evidently he could still get an erection. That’s not possible if you’ve been castrated, right? If it was closer to December, this post might get me nominated for All-VolleyTalk 😬

Have any of you guys ever been to the area where Neverland is located? I have. It's in Los Olivos, CA, which is located halfway between Santa Maria and Santa Barbara. (Or, if you're not familiar with Santa Maria, think of Los Olivos as being located between San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara, but much closer to Santa Barbara.) So, Los Olivos is a small town, almost nothing there. Its main attraction is the nearby town of Solvang, which modeled itself after a typical Hans Christian Andersen Dutch town. There's even a Hans Christian Andersen Park! You can eat lots of waffles in Solvang. But that entire Los Olivos-Santa Ynez-Solvang area really is in the middle of nowhere.
We stopped there overnight to take in the town of Solvang, visit the California Mission Santa Ines, eat some waffles, and walk around the Hans Christian Andersen Park. Overall, it's a nice little town, but I wouldn't go there again. Now, to build an extremely private estate there...my first question would be: Why?
