I am all for changes to support mobile browser use. The side menu is a BIG pain in mobile browsing. I don't even notice it when I am on a PC.
The VB Mag platform does include a mobile view version as a choice...

If this is too far OT, I apologize, but I REALLY HATE the share menu being just below where browser tabs are located.
I hate the share menu to begin, but because it's right below the browser tabs, many times I go to select a new tab, everything freezes while the share menu loads. It is exceptionally annoying. Is there any way it could be moved to the right or something so your mouse pointer is less likely to be moved over it?

I simply tend to hit the back button in my browser too much, I try to use the side menu though, esp. when posting and returning the the main thread list. I don't mind panes that let you still see thread titles while viewing posts, but that's so antiquated. Maybe the thread titles could come up in a hideaway or pop-up format?

usually only use it to get to AVCA and the VolleyBows News links. so really if it were gone, i'd get by.
it's most 'in the way' when i'm checking VT on my phone... the side menu dominates the screen.

Browsers have Favorites or Bookmarks and with one click I can get to any link I want so why do I need a side menu ?

I liked it better when it poped out. It's stuck open the last few days for me.

I would like to be able to turn it off. It often pops out at me when I don't want it. Part of the reason is that I keep the taskbar along the left side rather than along the bottom like most ppl.

I am considering a few style changes. Do you use the side menu in its current form at all? If so, tell us a few things you like. If not, please give us some suggestions of features you'd like to see. Never have used it, it gets in the way, is a pain while using an iPhone. Better support of mobile phones would be a plus! Make sure you have Jump to Last and Jump to Top buttons on each page (in fact VCR [first] [previous][next][last] buttons would be super, in addition to the Go To Page # fill in the number functionality). and you need this at the top and bottom of every page (am tired of scolling down to the bottom to go to the next page). Biggest gripe: having to re-login every time you come back up here.

Please add an IGNORE BUTTON. This, this right here, I couldn't agree more with any post on this site more than I agree with this. I can think of a few posters who make threads unbearable where, if any post containing their usernames was blocked/hidden, the threads wouldn't be hopelessly screwed. Please make this happen. Please and thank you.

I want everything one click away. I'm a frequent user of the "Last" button on my TV remote.

I'll admit, I was one of the biggest gripers (that is, I made some of the biggest gripes -- I myself am svelte and sexy as always) about the side menu when it was first added. In the last six months I've gotten in the habit of using it frequently rather than scrolling back to the top of a thread page to re-load the first page of threads.
I am firmly against an "ignore" button. More threads are created/destroyed by people having a 3rd grade slap-fest about the fact that they've ignored someone, than have been destroyed by our few compulsive trolls. Plus, it inevitably creates discontinuities in the discussions. Our signal/noise ratio isn't yet so bad that an ignore feature is worth the additional headaches it causes.
