Gone are the days of walking onto the beach to catch an AVP tournament. Now you have to dish out $25 to do that. Nothing against the girls, but we can thank Kerri and Misty for that! Do you know any other professional sports that have any market share in the USA that allow spectators in for free? Didn't think so.

Rachel is a very solid player, however against the top their teams her size comes into play if she doesn't get a very hit-able set. When she was with Tyra, that seemed to be the MO, serve Rachel tough, make her make a good pass and make Tyra make a good set. EY is a much better setter than Tyra, so that should help. I don't see KW being able to break up any of the top 3 partnerships for anything less than a half a season. there is too much money to lose Internationally, and domestically in end of the year tournaments and bonus $$. Now if any one of the top teams are playing like crap, then all bets are off. I simply don't see Youngs-Wacholder being any sort of factor on the FIVB Tour and likely an out-in-the-semis team on the AVP. Yes, EY is a better setter than Turner, but Rachel is a sideout liability less she is about 100 percent more fit than she was during her comeback in '09. If Walsh comes back in the same physical condition she displayed after her first pregnancy, somebody really good will want to play with her because they immediately will be one of the teams to beat on the AVP at least.

EY has said she was retiring from international competition (I think that may be the reason she and NB split, or at least part of it). And Rachel may not be interested in FIVB, either. As a mother, she may not want to travel so much.

Youngs and Kerri Walsh aren't big fans of each other, but when Kerri comes back, EY might be her best short-term option.
