Any updates on any of the men’s openings in the NJ/NY? Rutgers? St Francis Brooklyn? NJCU? Rutgers has their man. Should not be a long commute for him. It has been over two weeks since this post. Any word on when the announcement will come out? A quick look at the St Francis Brooklyn staff directory doesn't even have Men's Volleyball listed as a sport.

I think I heard they cancelled the program.. SURELY this can't be accurate??? They JUST started! I hope it isn't accurate, however this wouldn't be a total shock. The head coach left for a Women's Assistant job in conference... Of course LIU is more established and such, but wouldn't you think that he would be excited to take over a brand new mens D1 program that supposedly has/had funding?

Here is the link to the men's VB page on the St. Francis Brooklyn Athletics website: sfcathletics.com/index.aspx?path=mvbThe link to Andy Mueller's bio is no longer active, but when I looked up the announcement of his hiring for the LIU asst job, it really played up his part in recruiting this year's team at SF-B and setting up a "challenging" match schedule for this year. Maybe he was never meant to actually coach the team. But there's nothing indicate the program is not still getting off the ground.

Was never a question as to whether the VB page existed, but no updates since May 8, no schedule, and if you go to the staff directory, no MVB noted anywhere. sfcathletics.com/staff.aspx I know there isn’t a coach currently, but usually they have an assistant listed, or contact info for the AD under a vacant spot. The fact that the school year is underway and we have no knowledge of anything is a joke. The newest D1 program is having a lot of captains practices. It’s a shame.

I hope that is the case and that everything will work out, it's just a bit odd to go from head coach to assistant at another conference school. Id be interested to see who they end up hiring or considering a candidate.

If I was a parent, I would not be pleased either. You are playing with these kids futures!

I mean it's mens volleyball and the coach left, so they probably wouldn't have much trouble transferring out and playing elsewhere without redshirting. Also, nobody is playing with their futures here. You go to school for an education and that is how they should've made their choice unless a ton of scholarship money was in play. If they chose the school based on volleyball, I don't 100% fault them, but maybe 75% do because they should've done their due diligence and assessed the academic side to make sure it was what they wanted and that they would be happy their even if they didn't play.

From what I heard, St. Francis-Brooklyn found a coach but wasn’t able to hire immediately. Going interim for now and the next coach will be announced after the women’s season.
