Tiruray2004 I have played and coached in the NAIA and we beat tons of DI teams. So for you to say that NAIA is not as good as NCAA is ridiculous. I bet you sucked as a player! UCLA basketball barely beat NAIA Concordia 62-61 on 11/04/09.

How did you find out about Volleytalk? By chance. I was probably looking for something on Google that found it on VolleyTalk.

Calm down...Tiruray was making a quick generalization. DI/DII/DIII/NJCAA /NAIA all overlap...but on the whole of it...DI is the strongest.

This is the off season..................you should read Volleytalk when womens VB is in season (Aug-Dec), it is both really informative and funny!

By chance. I was probably looking for something on Google that found it on VolleyTalk. Do you think it is any good? This is the off season..................you should read Volleytalk when womens VB is in season (Aug-Dec), it is both really informative and funny! It is now off season and that's the point. Every year, during the estival break, I'm upset because volleyball totally disappears from the swiss press, forasmuch that it pays any attention to volleyball during the championship. As it is off season, most of the teams stop communicating virtually up to the beginning of the upcoming season. So I'm trying to create some enthusiasm between two championships as I'm telling on transfers and giving some news that nobody might know in Switzerland (e.g. US transfers to Switzerland). And I think it works because more and more people visit my two forums. I just hope that participation will grow, especially on the Inside-Volley forum (http://www.inside-volley.com/wbb/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=3632), and people help me to share some information. You may find a lot of news on the transfer market on foreign websites but nothing in Switzerland. So I just took the opportunity to create that outlined source of information on transfers in Switzerland. But not only official infos, also some founded rumors that are generally confirmed later on. That makes my forums becoming inevitable (or at least I hope so). So yes, I think it's good.

Sagres Neuchâtel UC announces the arrival of Airial Salvo, former Washington Huskies OH. During the last season she was playing in the Puertorican Superior League with Lancheras de Catano. Airial joined the US National Team program in January. On the other hand, Rachel Hartmann will unfortunatly leave Switzerland due to family reasons. Neuchâtel’s rosters is now almost complete. The team management is in contact with several setters, basically from the US, that might replace Rachel.

Good for you, coaching at the NAIA level! No, I don't suck but I tell my players if they are not performing well: don't play like a NAIA player!

Switzerland is a great place for the American girls to continue to play volleyball. It is crime free, incredible scenery, many people speak English and they welcome the Americans with open arms. Actually Volero Zurich has mostly Serbian/Balkan national team players and I'm sure they are paid well with respect to the rest of LNA (top Swiss pro league). Look for some more Americans this upcoming season on VFM to join Taylor Carico, Kristin Kelley, Emily Day and Devon Sutherland. A former wahine favorite along with a big gun from a college in Florida are supposedly signed along with the others. You didn’t mention Jessica Nyrop. If she's leaving VFM, that means that the team needs a new setter. And Cayley Thurlby, a former Wahine player, is precisely a setter that participated in the same IVB Tour as Jilian Baker that has already signed for VFM. Is Cayley the player that you were talking about?

Taylor Carico will be the new setter for VFM. Jessica did a great job last season but is getting married this summer. She couldn't give a firm commitment to playing the upcoming season for VFM. The U of H player signed with VFM is NOT a setter.

Oh yes, right. I had not realized that Taylor was a setter. But are you involved somehow in VFM? Or close enough to some of the players to be up to date. Or maybe a player yourself?
