Unfortunately I believe they meet Branagh/May-Treanor tomorrow at 10 am Pacific. Youth vs experience . Copenhagen/Gregory drew Kessy/Ross.

The focus shifts to the Contenders Bracket for the Diaper Dandies , I believe against Burdine / Fopma.
Strike that it's R Caulkins / S Smith

Diaper Dandies crash and burn as they fall to Caulkins/Smith 21-15, 21-9 but it was good practice for the upcoming Youth World Championships on July 29th.

My prediction(s): 'Sand' is supposedly--officially--to start up in the 2011-'12 school year. The majority of your 'sand' programs will domino that very year as only a hand full of teams will actually compete for the first, 'under represented' YET OFFICIAL title. Teams from USC, Tulane, FSU, [(perhaps) a Big West, SoCal PAC team, WCC team, or another team from FL]...they'll all be thee 'initials' to pioneer the way. The majority of teams will, then, flood in for competition for the 2012-'13 academic year (this will be a greater cross section of the nation in representation(s)) *I believe that UH will be 'in' with this group in what IS the greater NCAA 'Sand' WVB crowd. UH will already have Croson (So.), Goodman (Jr.), and a couple of more 2011 recruits who'd be vying for positions. MY, ALSO, GUESS IS THAT ROSS TRANSFERS TO UH--IN 2012--AFTER SPENDING ONE YEAR AT UW IN 2011. (it may be wishful thinking, but I dunno) The two, as a consequence, then win the first well represented 2012 NCAA 'Sand' Championship; they go on to truly establish themselves on the FIVB/AVP curcuit for lots of cash prizes. It's either that or Ross ends up going back 'home' to a UCLA (or such) to "represent" there! *Anybody else want to speculate???

To speculate, NCAA sand volleyball will be something of a joke to experienced sand players for quite a few years and what college stars play for will not be a factor.
