Why isnt Jenna Hagglund on this list? (I'm not saying she's the best, but as a senior setter and multiple AA I'm sure she at least BELONGS on the list rather than in "other". Especially when you size up reputation to a player like Bateman (no offense)

I know you only include D1 in your poll--but Adrianna Vazquez setting for NAIA Embry Riddle is setting a very nice 12 assists per set. Pretty nice numbers for the sophomore.

I voted for Zimmerman because she seems to be doing the best with the least returning lineup. Carli Lloyd seems to be having a really good year; we'll see when Cal starts playing the best of the Pac 10.

Lexi Zimmerman. No doubt. One of the most deceptive setters I've ever seen.

Cassidy Lichtman. It's just one of the skills in her cupboard but I think she's great at it.

I wouldn't consider Cassidy as THE top setter this year. She gets it done in that position but she's not the best by far. Lexi is too flashy for her own good. She doesn't need to overhand set all the low passes then fall to the ground. She can easily bump set those. Lloyd and Hagglund are doing well. Anderson gets my vote for the best setter this year. Too bad she doesn't get to set full time and when she is setting. She sets the frosh instead of Licht. Licht is more terminal and Cook probably has his daughter setting Licht to make her look good. Don't get me wrong, I love Lauren Cook (she's amazing) but Anderson has done a great job the previous years and I don't get it why she's not setting a 5-1.

Oops I forgot about Murphy! She's still up there. I vote for her and Anderson.

Bateman is good as well but the offense they run at USC is sooooooooo slow!

Be honest,...have no idea about most of those ladies!
I just think CAL POLY's Sarah Cawrse-6'1, Jr. has made the difference playing setter on this team.
A transfer two years ago, that fell into a situation with the unexpected departure of our projected starting setter.
Sarah has assumed the role and has performed as a 'pro'! How far POLY will advance this year will rest with Ms. Cawrse.
GoPOLY!!!

Can we take Anderson out of this poll. She has no business being there.

There were times the other night when Stanford played ASU I thought Gabi Ailes was the best setter on the court .

Just because the offense is slow does not merit a setter from being good. In my opinion its between Murphy and Bateman.
