The way that clue was written I thought they were talking about Pulliza, and I knew that McRoberts on or near the lead at TTU (as opposed to the clue that said UT or maybe UTT). and one more time YELIN IS NOT LEAVING LOUISVILLE. At least not yet. The story, if its true, is that he's not leaving for another year. People want to figure out where he's going, and as I read the posts (yes, you have to actually read the entire posts) he may not know where he is going, just that he wants to get back to the south. Temple is announcing their football coaching hire tomorrow, so perhaps now they can focus after the holiday. You are correct, he is still under contract, but never hide his desire to move back to Florida. He is not moving until some really GOOD job will be open. Well there's no way that Kordes took the AHC position with an open-ended stay for Yelin. There had to have been some kind of definite timeline.

Couldn't she have been named coach-in-waiting while still staying at SLU?? I understand her desire to get back home to UL, but would that constitute leaving her HC position to become an AC??

The most likely timeline is whenever his current contract expires. I doubt he'll be picky about what jobs he's interested in if he's been told his contract will not be renewed.

Holy Cow, people!!!!
Where are we getting all of this from? The question was raised if Anne Kordes might go home to Louisville to be the coach in waiting. When asked where Yelin was going someone mentioned Miami, and then we started attaching him to every job in south florida, and the assistant position at UF. Now bkedane has Yelin not getting his contract renewed.
In 4 pages there is almost nothing of substance reported and we are all in a tizzy. CHILL. Breath. Enjoy grandma's fruitcake.
What do we actually know? Louisville is one of the leading programs in the Big East and made it to the second round of the tournament this year. Their head coach, Leonid Yelin is an Uzbekistani native who worked in Miami for 5 seasons, and he's spent the last 15 seasons at the U of L. He is now 61 years old, with two former players as a assistants who graduated in 2005 and 2006.
People assume Yelin is going somewhere. If he stays 1 more year, as suggested, Yelin will be going on 62 when he leaves. He's closer to the end of his career than the beginning. If the Miami suggestion was true, can't the man just retire to the beach? 15 years into a public pension program could be pretty good. Now, if he wants to coach again, fine, I'm sure a national title and 4 sweet 16's would help him get a job somewhere, but we are just throwing darts at this point.
As for U of L. Neither assistant has been a head coach, and aside from Hoffman's 1 month at Fordham, neither has coached anywhere but U of L, so they don't have an obvious successor to Yelin. At the same time, most of the talent on this Cardinals team is freshman (S, L, OH) and sophomores (OH), so the team will be pretty good if they can find a qualified coach to lead them, whoever that might be.
Thats about all we can know here, unless somebody has spoken to someone. The speculation and rumor mongering here is going far beyond even our usual level.

Not Pobbie. But you're warm. So, if not Pulliza it could be McRoberts of UCA? What about Ingram from Ark St? He was an Assistant at Kansas St, so familiar with Big 12 play. Anyone else of worth out of Arkansas? Or it could be somebody no-one is even talking about

Texas A&M - Kingsville posted again for a HC
Northwest College (WY, JC) posted for a HC.
Full time up to $43,000.
That's better than many DII and DIII programs
