Didn't feel like digging up the old thread. This should be a good match. I'll predict Stanford in 4. 2 close sets, 2 not so close sets.
Is the stream subscription only?

Was wondering same thing. This match should have been picked up by CBS. Looks like gametracker for me.

Stanford in 3. The Stanford defense can stop Murrey, the Cal defense cannot stop Klineman.

UCLA did a great job, she still had 27 kills.

The "we don't have to stop the star, we only have to stop everybody else" theory has been around for as long as there have been team sports. The truth is usually somewhere between those two extremes.

This match will tell us two things: Whether Cal if for real of not and whether Satanford is going to roll in post season....I suspect the latter is more likely to be the outcome of this contest! But, that's why they play em

From the Cal twitter: CalVolleyball You can get links to live stats via Gametracker, live video from Stanford's All-Access site and a live chat at CalBears.com.

No one has been able to stop Stanford when they are in system, but they have to stay in system. So as always the serve receive is critical. They have lost a valuable attacker with Lichtman having to set a 5-1, which means that Spelman has to have another good match and that Williams and/or Wopat have to get it going a bit more. I don't see a sweep; this Card team has not been good at finishing teams off when they have the chance. UCLA should have been won in four and UW should have been over in three. Cal is a better team than UCLA so yep, this is why they play them!

There should be lowered expectations for Klineman. Cal will be focused on her and they have players tall enough to block her.

There should be lowered expectations for Klineman. Cal will be focused on her and they have players tall enough to block her. Penn State had tall players, too. And, EVERYONE who's played Stanford this season has focused on her. You don't lower expectations so you can excuse a poor hitting performance.
