Not necessarily my favorite song, but I just found out Carly Rae Jepsen is from Mission BC. I've been to Mission several times, because they have a small racetrack there. It's actually the first racetrack I ever took a track driving school at. missionraceway.comarial view

Well, yes, that's what made me link the two, except I actually like the whole song. Scruffy The Cat was a Boston bar band that was active while I was there.

Autobiographical songs: ... I have actually gone back to all of my old schools, but never as part of any official event (e.g., reunion). I'm a sucker for nostalgia.

Yeah, but I guess your old school didn't arrest you and your girlfriend while she was visiting you. There's also a reference in the song to "the 35 sweet goodbyes", which I've heard is supposed to be 1/2 of 69, ie. a blowjob that his girlfriend gave him before he got on the train to go to school.

Pretty much a perfect performance of a wonderful song.
That Hammond B3, Wow!
I've seen them twice and never dissapointed
Dance slowly with someone close you....or heck by yourself. It's a special song. Well, I came to the city I was running from the past My heart was bleeding And it hurt my bones to laugh Stayed in the city No exception to the rule He was born to love me I was raised to be his fool Walk that line, torn apart Spend your whole life trying Ride that train, free your heart It's midnight up in Harlem I went down to the river And I took a look around There were old man's shoes There were needles on the ground No more mysteries, baby No more secrets, no more clues The stars are out there You can almost see the moon The streets are windy And the subway's closing down Gonna carry this dream To the other side of town Songwriters: Derek Trucks / Micheal Mattison
Of course this next one is timeless and Tedechi does it justice
