Pepperdine 51, St. Marys 54, Wisconsin 60 Cal Poly 64. Georgia Tech 65
Could there be something missing something about St. Louis, or Milwaukee, or Northern Illinois?
Western Ky 31, Miss St 33, VaTech 40

Reign, if BOTH VaTech and Georgia Tech get in, I will officially barf more than if Oregon gets in. I just cannot stomach 6 ACC, 6 Pac-10 teams, or 6 SEC teams this year. Not when the mid-majors went out and played tough non-conference schedules and won quality matches. I can stomach six Pac-10 teams. I can't stomach six SEC teams, though. And six ACC teams makes me feel uneasy, too. But if you give the ACC teams credit for their RPIs, which the committee is likely to do, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech have the resumes to get in.

ACC shouldn't have 6 in. I wish that volleyball would start to do something like conference challenges, it would be intersting to have an ACC vs Big East volleyball challenge. Would help give people a feel for these 2 conference strengths!

Tulsa beats SMU 3-1. SMU is out. Tulsa just keeps winning. Will be interesting to see who they get 1st round.
Marquette beats North Illinois 3-1. Northern Illinois out, if there was any doubt.
North Iowa over Creighton 3-1. Creighton has to be in.
Pacific leads St. Marys 2-0. Good for St. Marys to show it live. Not sure this one even matters except for Big West/WCC fanatics, but a must win for St. Marys to get in. This would be a really good win for Pacific (and the Big West) Pacific is just playing for pride, Pacific plays like a gnat that won't go away. Pacific beat UCSB on the road, beat Cal Poly, and beat Arizona on the road. Good first year coaching job.

Would help give people a feel for these 2 conference strengths! Runza has tried it the last couple of years with not much success, in fact it may have killed the tournament. Of course they were looking for elite teams from power conferences, a pretty thin field anyway, and haven't got all the best teams on top of it. Stuff like ACC- Big East might actually be more interesting, at least in an abstract (apart from rooting interest) sense.

Pacific beats St. Marys @ St. Marys 3-1. Good win for UOP.
Just did not expect that with a berth on the line for St. Marys. I think St. Marys is out. A Big West win might feel good for Cal Poly, but I have doubts about them getting in still. Pepperdine can't like this result either.

Duke, NC, Miami, FSU or Va Tech I don;t care.

Until 2 years ago/maybe 3, UF hosted a conference challenge over Thanksgiving weekend at Disney, 2 schools from Big East/SEC, C-USA/SEC, PAC-10 one year.

Shame, the committee does not consider conference vs non-conference differently. It's overall record, opponent's records, wins against top 25, record against 1-50 and 1-100 and RPI that get you in the tourney, conference or non-conference.

Right on the Power Presentation about teams getting in the tournament it says the Nitty Gritty Report includes Non Conference Record and Non Conference RPI, as well as Conference Record and Conference RPI. Listed fairly high on the factors list, too. The record v. 1-25, etc is jumbled, but the members know who is in each conference if they look at individual sheets, assuming they are set up the same way as Rich Kern. Sorry St. Mary's lost to UOP; that has to bury any slim chance the Gaels had. I just thought they had a better team than St. Mary's showed.
