But I mean,,,, either way if this team doesn't win a NC it's going to pretty much be a failure sooo might as well go all out and unleash Plummer on the RS... plus Stanford could probably win a NC with her on the right and Kipp on the Left IMO. Lol IF they stay healthy. One injury could change a lot for this team

Yea the best answer might be to put Plummer on the right, Kipp/McClure on the left and send Fitz back to the middle where she belongs. IMO, Kipp on the left reminds me of Alix Klineman, but with more athleticism and a better vertical jump. On the right (OPP) she would play like a taller and more explosive Kerri Walsh, but without the ability to set like Walsh could. Her potential to hit pipes and D balls looks to be off the charts.

Triple Crown 17’s finals between TAV and Top Select is available on youtube.
I really hope we are getting both Smiths (Leilah & Annabelle) from TAV. Probably two of the top MBs on that class.
Leilah Smith’s potential is through the roof. The fact that she is remains uncommitted makes me think she is definitely considering Stanford. Few more months and we shall see. Top 3 talent for 2020.
Annabelle was a beast as well. Very quick as a blocker and her slide is a thing of beauty.
Both middles didn’t get set much as TAV’s reception wasn’t the best. One of the outsides is Texas-bound - physical player but can’t pass.

I guess White was an ok passer and is coming back in 2019, but I recall JE subbing for Logan Eggleston in the back row. Maybe he should have left her in to get her "baptism under fire" and prep for 2019 and beyond. 2018 Texas probably wasn't going win a NC as that became evident early in the season giving their youth and setter.

Annabelle's hitting looks good and maybe more advanced than Holly Campbell at a similar age, but I haven't seen much video of her blocking. What about grades and test scores?

I personally don't think you move the 2-time POY to a new position. Plummer is just too good of a bailout hitter. But you are right, Fitz back to middle, Kipp goes OPP. This is an interesting and sensible lineup, but Fitz hit .339 with 1.18 blocks per set.... While Kipp is fantastic, Fitz is proven and VERY good. I still think the lineup depends on if Vicini is ready to go blocking wise. If Vicini is suitable to fill that role, then Kipp will be fighting for playing time with McClure. The question, obviously, is whether Kipp's 3 rotations in the front row make up for the 3 rotations lost of McClure's passing. If Vicini is not ready, then I think we'll see some sort of combination with Fitz and Kipp playing Middle and the other RS. I still think Kipp should see the floor no matter what lineup, seeing as the offense will likely run through her in 2020 and beyond. We know Fitz can close the block well, so we could potentially use her as a middle who takes some swings on the left/right side. It's a tough call though because I believe Fitz's future is likely on the right.... but I mean Kipp belongs on a pin too.

It will be hard for Vicini to be ready for the speed of which the higher NCAA teams play. Her high school and this years club team aren't the strongest.

Not sure but she shouldn’t be hard to find. Tallest on the floor, jumps the highest. Kill almost every time. Kipp is #4...can't miss her she's so tall

Does anyone know of videos that show oglivies passing and or defense. I know she hits in hs so most of her highlights are hitting, everyone talks about how she could be a fantastic libero for Stanford, but i can’t find any videos !!

Watching Kipp in that latest clip: Her backrow was pretty weak, bad footwork, slow, and poor use of her arms. With some decent instruction, she should improve, but I can't see her playing in the back. Her D ball looks terrific, however, so maybe they could hide her. Both right and left hitting looked excellent, but she still looks more like a left-sider. As mentioned by others, she looks like a quicker, better-jumping Klineman, and that ain't bad!

Alix was incredible at this age. Kipp is good as well but Alix was better and more polished in all phases of the game.
