The reality is that Stanford is now entering an era of having really good players riding the bench probably for a majority of their collegiate career. For quite some time, Stanford could recruit a starting lineup of top elite recruits, but frequently had depth issues. If all of these rumored recruits do find their way to the farm, I do wonder if we'll see the first transfer from Stanford. A decommitt could be possible and that’s ALL I will say... Oh... c'mon! My DMs are open I'm sworn to secrecy, hahaha!

The setters and oppos sub for each other and Plummer and McClure play 6 rotations. No ds in that 6-2

Gray's leadership needs to be on the court at all times. Xu looks great in the videos I've seen, but I'll wait until 2020 to watch her take the reins.

A decommitt could be possible and that’s ALL I will say... You can't decommit if you aren't technically committed and no 2020's have actually committed yet, so this must be a 2019 with an NLI that is decommitting? That wouldn't seem to make much sense, either. Stanford just put out the press release about them + Gates yesterday? Two days ago?

You just don't take the ball out of the hands of a senior setter who has 3 Final Fours and 2 titles under her belt as a 5-1 starter. And of all coaches, it wouldn't be Hambly to do it. He waffled over giving the reins to Jordyn freaking Poulter as a freshman over a much less accomplished senior setter at Illinois.

LA Times reporting someone paid $6.5 million for a spot at Stanford. Who would be the idiot to decommit because of volleyball playtime? Idk I wouldn’t put too much stock into those rumors... all of the committed 2019s seem very excited for the journey ahead and I hardly believe that one of them all of a sudden believes that Stanford has a stacked team and would wanna decommit. Even without Gates, there’s still a lot of talented players that are going to be in the practice gym so why would they wait all this time only to decommit?

You can get a really good education in a lot of places, especially for undergrad. The older I get the less I care where someone got a bachelor's degree from. So, the more appropriate question, to me, would be...who in the hell is dumb enough to pay $6.5 million to get into Stanford? Or Harvard? Or Yale? Or, frankly, anywhere? Your education is what you make of it.

I didn’t mention their name nor their year. Keeps things fun. Like when everyone was guessing in the Nebraska thread about an MB transfer, or everyone was guessing where Barnes was gonna go, keeps the thread bumping nahemsayin

I don’t necessarily understand why this would even be mentioned if there was a concern for privacy in the first place (except to stir up drama and attention), but regardless I do wonder what recruiting will be like since a lot of offers probably evaporated.
