I see. That would answer it. Thanks for the explanation. How was she? Anywhere near Foecke's caliber? She had 15 kills, 4 aces, and a couple blocks in 3 sets (Cap Davis played most if the other). Looked very good, but I'd strongly caution against Foecke comparisons, obviously. That was very good performance for someone just came in fresh from high school. That is exciting for Nebraska to look forward to this year. Who was the opponent?

I gagged when I saw that NCAA post. Nebraska and Texas must have some operatives in the social media offices 🙄 It was a “ones to watch” list, not a top 5. Each one for various reasons, one an obvious vet, another a freshman, another maybe to watch for a breakout season. It’s just a general hype video.

I'm pretty sure people know to watch Hentz, not so worried about that. What struck me most about this video was that it's going to take a lot more than talent to replace either Foecke or Bedard Amin, players capable of carrying their teams when it mattered most.

Kipp is listed as an OH on the roster--was this mentioned already on here? Fwiw I'm an advocate of her playing frontrow. She's a Ferarri and I want to see how fast she can go. But after rewatching a few old matches, I was struck again by how much McClure improved herself in the front row compared to her freshman year, so I wouldn't be too disappointed if she starts all 6 rotations in the beginning, with Kipp working her way in here and there. Less than a month to go!

Less than a month to go! I am a huge McClure fan. She is a baller. However, I rewatched the Final match last year again to warm up for the new season. T was clear that with a bigger block team like Nabraska, she couldn't get through their blocks (even Plummer had troubles). McClure ha the same problem with Florida's 2 years ago in the FF4 and Stanford lost that match in 5. I would love to see how Kipp will perform this year when she has the opportunity to adjust to college games.

IMO Oglivie is an elite passer and a real team player. That’s why she was recruited.
