Any word on Plummer return ? Do we need Plummer against ASU and AZ? Not sure, but Berty looks capable of racking up some kills. Of the two, ASU scares me the most, because they took out WSU on The Palouse, which isn't easy.

Assuming no additional injuries, we should be fine without Plummer against AZ and ASU.
Two primary starters (and a 1st off the bench player) are still out for AZ per their preview vs Cal and Stanford: "Arizona's ever-long quest to get healthy continues this week; the Wildcats remain without three hitters due to concussions again this week ... Paige Whipple and Katie Smoot have shouldered the load in the absence of concusssed Elizabeth Shelton, Whittnee Nihipali and Shardonee Hayes."
5'7" Kamaile Hiapo, normally a DS, will probably play 6 rotations again.
ASU probably will be tougher but still manageable. We beat ASU in 3 with Fidelek instead of Fitz at Maples. But both AZ and ASU took Utah to 5 sets last weekend at Huntsman so who knows. (ASU was swept by CO while AZ took CO to five sets.)
I hope that Plummer only plays if she's close to 100%. I'm sure she'd like to make 1st team AA again but, if she wants to play in the NCAA tournament or play professionally this season, full recovery is more important IMO.

Wasn’t Oglivie the heir apparent to Hentz, way before we saw what she could do hitting-wise on an international stage? Oglivie won't be a top college OH, her hitting numbers weren't that great at USA, her passing role is what landed her a spot. She'd be a great beach player, but she shouldn't be better than McClure and Baird next year at all. you never know. I like to be optimistic. There have been to many great players in all kinds of sports that came out of nowhere. And many that were supposed to be great but washed out. How high were the expectations for Hentz when she got here.

How high were the expectations for Hentz when she got here. Very high. But she hasn't disappointed!

Hentz was a pretty highly ranked recruit for a libero. I generally don't have any expectations of players before I see them play- I don't follow recruiting much- but it took about 15 min. to realize that Hentz was the best libero Stanford had ever seen.

Is this a knock knock joke? Ncaa who? I think he is saying the statement should be "best libero the NCAA had ever seen".
