Kami Miner and Redondo High School beat Mater Dei last night to win the CIF SS D1 championship. Miner looks to be about 5’10” regardless of the listed height. Won’t be a problem at the net because she inherited vertical jump genes from Baby Jordan. If Miner commits to Stanford it should be a contest next year for starting setter. Miner looks good but high school volleyball is a big step below DI college. It’s hard for me to tell how she stacks up with Xu. Well Miner is a 2021, is she graduating early?

I would argue that a Redondo/Mater Dei matchup would be better volleyball than some D1 volleyball. Not to the level of top 100 teams, but they could handle several D1 squads I'd wager.

All-time Stanford lineup from the NCAA... any rebuttals?? I would choose Kerri Walsh on the right and Nnamani and Tom on the outside. If Plummer were to take a spot, it would be from Nnamani because Tom and Walsh’s overall game would be just too valuable. I still think Nnamani would be a better OH1 than Plummer because she’s more terminal. Plummer’s passing and defense is better than Nnamani, but Nnamani is just that good on offense, plus when you have Tom, Walsh and Hentz passing... you don’t need much else. I would also choose Sharpley over Kehoe.

Found video of Miner. She has pretty good hops and moves pretty fast! Can't wait to see her at Stanford!

No one’s happy, except Stanford fans, now that KP is back. I would hope that at least a few are fans of the sport and would want to see the best players play.

It's so easy to lose sight of the fact that these seniors have given us fans 2 titles after a significant drought... I know I do sometimes.
We've been spoiled these past 4 years... but I really want this group to get another one.

Happy too se Stanford in the top 4 again, really hope they get that regional. Hopefully Baylor or Pitt gets a tough loss before the season is over, rather play Texas in the finals than a semi (hoping they make it that far)

Ahh, she'll be in town this weekend. I'm sure hammer and the others who are expert at spotting the recruits in the crowd, will provide the photo evidence here. Personally, I pretty much never notice, unless the photo gets posted while the match is going on, and I'm paying close enough attention to VT.

Isn't it against the rules for them to sit within a certain distance of the team?

After reading today's NLI signings, one thing is eminently clear to me. Notwithstanding derogatory, dismissive & negative comments about Hambly (mostly from outsiders): the guy can recruit!
