I think it is a joke. Did you see how she was goofing off in the picture? If she's been on the two's team until this year, the UCLA thing sounds iffy too. What photo.

There is an intro to Prepvolleyball.com's latest article on the top 30 collegiate recruiting classes of 2012. It says, "Stanford owns the consensus No. 1 class this year..." I am not a subscriber so I don't know the details of the story. I can understand Texas fans questioning the consensus.
For Stanford supporters one issue now has become whether there will 5 or 6 members in the 2012 class reporting to Maples. I plan to attend the SoCal 18/17 regionals this weekend and will give a report about Moore on Sunday. I am sure I have seen her play before but never paid attention.

Kelsey Moore was not listed as part of Stanford's 5-member class in PrepVolleyball.com's recruiting class rankings published today. In the same class ranking lists from last year and the year before, presumed walk-ons Lauren Birks and Mary Ellen Luck were listed as members of Stanford's recruiting classes. Take it for what it's worth.

The how the hell did she get a scholarship to UCLA? Maybe it was academic...? Yeah, something is not adding up there. You know, it just might be in the realm of possibility that she's a bright kid who was accepted at Stanford and has no plans for playing volleyball. IIRC, there was word (rumor for some) last year that Kelsey will walk on along with Karly Drolson but that was never confirmed. Karly was confirmed but not Kelsey. She could not have been offered a vball scholarship because there was nothing to give until Duke-Ezeji transferred and that went to Lowe. She was not expected to start if she walked on at UCLA, and there were a few DS's ahead of her if she planned to play backrow. If ever there's truth to that scholarship info, it probably would be an academic one. Is she even confirmed to walk on at Stanford at this point? Good luck to her because she is a good kid and she will be in one of the best academic and athletic environments! Best of luck to the Cardinal too and hope the recent tragic circumstance motivate the team positively. BTW, if she is confirmed as a walk on or on scholarship for 2012 in any school, she most likely will be listed already as a new recruit on Rich Kern's site. I just checked and Kelsey is not on the list.

She could be an unrecruited walk-on. Or what about sand VB? Or, as someone else said, maybe she's just going to Stanford and not planning to play VB.

Yeah, something is not adding up there. You know, it just might be in the realm of possibility that she's a bright kid who was accepted at Stanford and has no plans for playing volleyball. That thought crossed my mind. I am trying to check it out. It is extremely hard to get admitted without a coach tagging an application but it can happen. I finally got some information. Kelsey Moore did not have her application tagged by Dunning. She got admitted strictly on academics. She will not be playing volleyball for Stanford. Now for the next question. Mary Ellen Luck's sister, Emily Luck, will be attending Stanford starting 2012. I read somewhere she was a good player in her early high school years. I don't know if she played volleyball this past year. Will Emily Luck be part of Stanford's team? She wouldn't need a scholarship as her brother can help out with expenses. Here is an old 2010 link. www.shsboosterclub.com/2010_Varsity_Volleyball.aspxDid anyone see Tawa's recent article where he stated Brittany Howard would be ranked higher than #12 if the Senior Aces were redone today. In the words of beachbomb she is going to be a beast. Stanford fans have Burgess locked in for a starting position. I think the competition will be close between Burgess and Howard.

Yes Emily played but I don't believe she will play for Stanford. I believe only 15 can travel in PAC 12 play and Stanford has 15 right now.

Burgess' defense is still too good not to be on the floor.
I know it just can't work, but 2 freshman on the left and Williams on the right?
