The Big Ten just got crazy tough when Nebraska joined. But I wonder if teams like Penn St and Nebraska could continue to get the best kids if Hugh takesthe MN job? All signs point to that happening after the 2012 games.

What signs are those, in all respect?
I don't see any signs pointing that way, not as of now anyhow.

What signs are those, in all respect? I've had some spare time, and I've been making a lot of posters. Want to hang out at the airport with me and wave them at people?

Hugh’s wife, “Wiz” McCutcheon (formerly Bachman), coached club volleyball for Laguna Beach last year. She played for UCLA in her younger days. She and Hugh have a new baby I think about six or seven months old.
I don’t know Wiz directly. I know coaches at the Laguna Beach club who do know her. I would be surprised if she moved out of Southern California. I would be even more surprised if she was willing to move to a cold weather location at this stage in her life.

I bet they'd leave socal if Hugh was done with USA Volleyball and there weren't any college jobs in the area.

Hugh is going to replace RR when RR is ready to move on. Rose is 57. He could be coaching for a while.

I think Hugh would rather go abroad and coach a club team than leave SoCal for the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania.

Not that he"ll ever go anywhere in the Big 10, but if he did, he would go to UMN. It's the only ties he has to the conference, as his wife is from there. Other than that, he would most likely stay in Cali. But who really knows, we are all speculating right now.

"I think Hugh would rather go abroad and coach a club team than leave SoCal for the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania."
I know this is a difficult concept for some people to grab a hold of . . . but many of us, even those of us who are California natives, choose to live in the middle of Pennsylvania, Maine, Idaho, Georgia, etc . . . part of the reason we do is it gets away from people who think the universe rotates around a specific geography.

Hugh doesn't want to leave SoCal because that has been his home since he left NZ.
